WRONG! Kamana'o had Victorias Prince and Susie Boogard. Tara Hittle was also phenomenal as a freshman right side. They were all very consistent compared to the 2017 squad. CALM DOWN. Iosia had Maglio. Granato is a better attacker than Boogaard. I'll give you Hittle, but the point remains that Kamana’o was able to do more with what she had. Remember her last two years when her attackers were falling left and right due to injuries? She still made it work. And she looked impressive doing it. Boogard was a lot more consistent than Granato. Get your facts straight. What year did her hitters fall left and right due to injuries? You are full of kaka!

People just want to talk. Hawai'i will be fine, Robyn and crew are working very hard... Exactly. If they have nothing to talk about they talk about the setter, who is doing a fantastic job by the way. Nitpicky at everything.

Couldn’t be Kamana’o’s last two years, as she had Houston and Mason on the outside, and they were outstanding in ‘05 and ‘06, head and shoulders above our pin hitters last season. I still think Kamana’o is the better setter, better than Robyn too IMO, but I think people are being unfair to Iosia. She’s very talented, and we’re lucky to have her.

Boogaard hit .211 with 3.83 kpg as a junior and hit .220 with 1.92 kpg as a senior starter. Granato hit .220 with 2.90 kps as a starter in 2016 and .219 with 3.89 kps this past season. I said Kamana'o's last two years 2005 - Hittle, who was slated to start at OH, was injured even before the first match - Mason, who replaced her in the lineup, also went down in the first match - Arnott fell ill at some point and never regained her starting job 2006 - Sanders had nagging injuries to start the season and was beat out by Thomas in the starting linuep - Thomas had a season-ending injury - Hittle had a season-ending injury - Keefe had a season-ending injury You are so full of Kaka!

Boogard was one of my favorites. Her hitting was average, but such a calming presence on the court, and was one of the best passing/defending outsides we've had in the 2000s. Also, man when she was playing right side, she could put up beautiful sets to the outsides.

Annie Mitchem beats Novara! Annie is playing 6 rotations and beasting!!! she looks really good and comfortable with her team, good for her For those of you who haven't yet heard, but Nicki arrived in Italy today (and has signed) to play on Lardini alongside Annie. Now all they need to do is sign Maglio as their middle!

Iosia led them to a big west title her freshman year (better than the wac). Who knows if we would of beat Minnesota if Taylor didn’t get injured. She also led them to the tournament her second year after returning no all Americans, and kept them close in their matches this year, besides one. Iosia is doing just fine. I can assure you if she transferred Hawaii fans would be crying

I was just expressing my opinion that for someone who was so highly recruited, I guess I expected more.

I was reading about Annie and Nikki playing together and got an idea!
Start a professional volleyball league with teams made up of the school’s alumnae only.
Robyn and Angelica may be a little too…..what’s a nice way to say old? (hmmm, can’t think of anything).
Anyway, a current Hawaii team (assuming of course that they are in volleyball shape) would look like:
Outsides: Emily Hartong, Kanani Danielson, Nikki Taylor, Annie Mitchem, Aneli Cubi-Ontineru
Middles: Emily Maglio, Olivia Magill, Brittany Hewitt
Setters: Kanoe Kamanao, Dani Mafua
L/DS: Ali Longo, Savanah Kahakai, Elizabeth Kaaihue

So, other than people stuffing themselves during the dinner buffet, what happened at the Wahine Banquet? Any news?
