Lexi Dorn is missing from the 2018 Spring Roster.
Anyone know if she's still with the program? 🤔

Not shocking, but it'll suck in the Boilermakers need someone to step in for Bush for whatever reason.

Look for a transfer coming in at the setter position. Ten on the spring roster with four coming in this summer. A single setter makes for a dangerous situation for the season in competition and a less than productive practice gym.

Having a single setter on roster certainly was not the most ideal situation for Iowa last season. You guys won’t be the only B1G team looking for a transfer setter!

Having one setter who is a redshirt freshman is crazy! What if she gets hurt - if we don't get a transfer in before the new year that could have prove disastrous. Hopefully they're working hard on procuring a Junior/Senior transfer.

Looks like Purdue has a transfer setter in Joy Chen, according to Twitter. Does anyone know anything about her? Will she be the starting setter? Thanks!

Joy Chen is a 2018, not a transfer. Plays for Huron HS in Ann Arbor, MI ( MaxPreps stats) and Premier Academy for club. Here's film from last year's AAUs. Looks like she's got some lofty academic goals in the hard sciences / engineering realm and the grades to back it up, according to her BeRecruited profile, so Purdue would be a good fit. Congrats to the Boilers and Ms. Chen!

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like a great fit for Purdue. I am surprised to hear about Lexi Dorn. I hope she didn’t get injured or anything.

From Coach Shondell’s Twitter, is he referring to an incoming recruit? He only referred to her by number 21. Before a recruit comes to Purdue, does the school usually have a number assigned to that player?

I just hope they have not missed their window of opportunity. Annie Drews-types rarely come along, and although Cuttino filled her huge shoes admirably, I'm not sure that this current roster, even given a few years time, turns into one that can make any deeper runs into the tournament - hope I'm wrong!
