If anyone wishes to do so, we can extend the trade deadline another few weeks.

Thanks for posting a lineup.. I REALLY appreciate it. Six people posted this week, so we'll used customized lineups for the other people based on the lineups they've submitted in the past.

Week 6 is in the books. Kind of cool that it's knotted up for second place. Weeks 8 through 11 are going to be key in terms of seeding. The first round pits 3 vs. 6 and 4 vs. 5, all of whom have a chance to win the tournament. Best of luck getting into those top six seeds. It's still very much wide open.

Trades have been extended through the end of week 9.
Counting playoffs, week 7 is our halfway mark. I want to take a second to say thank you for being so good about submitting your limeups on time and being active. Six of you have been on top of things every week by submitting lineups on Sunday or Monday. I will do my best to have results up shortly after the last match each week.
I realize how tough it is to submit a lineup that meets all of the requirements each week. While it has made it tougher this year than any other, it has made it very interesting and fun too.

So is it safe to assume that pavolleyalball and lilvolley15 have lost interest? Every season a few people drop along the way. This vet league had two people lose interest, the other vet league had three lose interest, and the third league had three people lose interest. I'm grateful for people who stay with it, but we need to build one league where we all last.
Please excuse the rant here, but for the last three seasons swayneys started a thread for the draft earlier and earlier. This season shows the impact of starting too early and burning out. He really wanted to run a league, but didn't fully fathom how time-consuming it is to run one. When he snapped back at panic about not having time to keep up with the league, it was clear he was getting ready to hit the eject button.
We fractured into three leagues with partial participation in all three. Next season, we need to start the draft in late December. I plan to take sign ups at the end of this season that must be confirmed in the week leadng up to the draft in December. I'm inviting people who have shown a track record of staying involved, which will help eliminate the drop off both during the draft and midway through the season.
For next season, it would seem that the invitation list (based on activity this season) should be: volleyballbro vballfreak808 vollegal doubletrojan panicvb miva2017 gopherguy mojo101 CollegiateZ ep2 vinnielopes RobontheMic vballlover4life mrbunny
The league will cap at twelve (or some even number less than 12.) If you don't get in one of those slots, do what CollegiateZ did and be willing to take over midseason if someone is scarce. While the thought is fresh following swayneys' departure, it would be nice to get feedback.

Week 7 concluded about an hour and a half ago and congratulations to volleyballbro who broke into the win column. Looking ahead at the schedule is promising for volleyballbro chasing a playoff spot.
Vollegal sweeps again and is setting the curve at 7-0, with the chance to lock up a first round bye with a win this week.
The battle for 2nd through 5th wages on, with EP getting a short stride ahead. Four weeks until playoffs.
The first match of the week is tomorrow (Monday), so lineups need to be in early this week. Good luck!
