I wonder if Portland is glad to move on without Crouch.

What the hell. Why is she still there? If you haven't noticed, USC's athletic dept has been a mess for years and years. How the hell did Mike Garrett stay so long? BTW Garrett was a mess after he got fired from USC, couldn't make it at a NAIA school, and was accused of sexual harrassment at Cal State LA Wow. Train wreck express. I’d be leary coming into a toxic environment. But hey. It’s USC. As far as the T Black talk, people said that about Cal, then Stanford and now USC. Money cant buy you success. The road doesn’t chose you, you choose the road. Pretty sure he’s happy where he is at. Their football team is fighting for a NC so that can’t hurt recruiting.

I'm sure Tom Black isn't tired of pronouncing "Georgia" as "jawl-juh."

I honestly can’t decide what’s more shocking. The fact that USC hired Brent Crouch or the fact that Brent Crouch thought he had enough of a shot at the job to even apply.

Finished under .500 in the wcc and hired by an elite 8 team pac 12 team, crouch is one lucky dude. Worst than stanford hiring a coach that couldn't make the ncaa tournament with a loaded roster.

Why do people keep saying good coach. His 3rd year was worse than his first two. He was 6-12 in Conference this season and finished in 8th place. Scott Wong did better than that this season.

Doesn’t mean that winning a fb nc makes you great. It simply sparks conversation.

I think Crouch applied for the job, like you would when you walk into McDonald's and a sign says, "Now Hiring. Applications available at the desk."

This one simple line from the USC website: Sorry, USC. But you've got to do a little better than that. I don't care how messy the separation with Haley may have been or even if Haley behaved in a horrible manner...you just don't put out a release like this without throwing a few props to Haley. Take the high road, fercrisakes. A lot of thought goes into these types of releases. Swan could have said something about Haley's succcessful career. Crouch could have talked about how honored he is to replace a legend. Instead that one puny sentence. 22 paragraphs and you can't throw Mick a bone? Says a lot about the class of the USC Athletic Department....and it ain't high. The man made Six NCAA Final Fours... And was literally SO CLOSE to the Final Four in 2001 (April Ross ankle injury), and was inches from the FF in 13, 15, and 17. Brent Crouch has been to the NCAA Tournament ONCE (as an assistant at Saint Mary's in 2012). I remember that SMC team - had a really good one named Ms. Jolly who lit USC up for a set before they found a way to stop her. But anyways, Mick took SC to the NCAA's 17 straight years. Give the man the credit he deserves. USC Athl Dept looks worse and worse

Good for Brent but holy crap what kind of decision is this from USC? Imagine the fan base if they did this in football. Incompetent.

I would have been happier if we poached a coach from your mighty conference, the AAC. I would have been quick to refer Bakeer Ganesharatnam. He's done a really solid job at rebuilding Temple. Oh, and Broad St aint that different from Figueroa
