Looked really solid in that 2-set win over AUS, Avery has dropped some weight it appears, going for the slightly leaner Gibb/Casey body vs. Captain America/Stoklos muscle. Nicely done boys.

405LAX: “2 teams with no shot of winning as neither has a legit blocker. Zaun/Roberts for obvious reasons but Avery just isn't remotely dominant enough at the net for play at the elite level.”
Hmmm

But let's remember it was a ONE STAR event, this won't be happening in Florida.

5 years ago, if you asked me who'd be better between Avery and Trevor, I'd probably chosen Avery. He's a smooth player, just hasn't had the luck of the Top tier partner draw.

No, they played in a watered-down tourney against low-tier international teams. Win is a win but there is clearly an asterisk, let's not get carried away.

You said they didn’t have a shot at winning.

You said they didn’t have a shot at winning. Yes, stand corrected but let's not pretend you (or anyone) suggested they'd win, that's just silly talk.

Also when they won it chase seemed like he had won a bunch before. Was pretty calm cool and collective. Kinda cool to see from such a young guy.
