Well, I am by no means an expert. As you can see on the other thread I just started, we're going through the same thing, though mine is only a freshman. But my advice is to have her email, email and email some more. Have her get her video out to as many coaches as she can. We have had fairly good response from my daughter doing so. Try to personalize them as much as she can, but most importantly get the video in front of them. The good news in your situation is that with her being a Junior, they can respond to you directly(for the most part, depending on the NCAA calendar).
Just my 2 cents.

1) prepvolleyball.com/ can be a good starting point, they have a list of coaches looking for players. 2) Contact any schools that she is interested in AND that will/should have roster spots open for her year, send videos, contact info, interests, accomplishments. Do the homework of looking through rosters, program history, coaching stability 3) I assume she plays for a club, they should be doing a lot of the legwork for you, talk to your recruiting director or club director. 4) Be realistic about her abilities and where she would fit in including how much time she wants to dedicate to volleyball AND school. I know a couple of kids who could have gone mid-major D1 but wanted to have a life so they went D2.

Daughter has some size, but probably needs to diversify her talents a bit. Kids from soccer backgrounds are usually very agile and flexible and should be encouraged to pass, serve and play all around, which is best accomplished by having an opportunity to either be a 6 rotation player or by playing a lot of 2 person.

Definitely look at the College Needs lists on PrepVolleyball. I watched a little video, and I'd say D2 through NAIA is probably your best bet. Target local D2/D3/NAIA schools for starters.. A full list of D2 schools nationwide can be found here, D3 is here, and a full list of NAIA Schools can be found here. Another important thing to note is to make sure you register with the NCAA Clearinghouse (or NAIA Eligibility Center if that's the route you take). University Athlete is widely used by recruiters, and a profile on Rich Kern can be beneficial as well. Email, send film, call, go on regular academic visits to local schools and contact the coaches to let them know you'll be there and would love to watch a practice or visit with them (you may laugh, but that worked for one of my players).. At this point, you need to keep making as much contact as possible. Best of luck!

You arent behind the curve according to all my study on the subject. Have her narrow down her choice of schools and have her start emailing with video links to the recruiters (typically the Asst coaches but may vary school to school).
There's the needs list on PrepVolleyball but I'm not sure that it's a complete list of needs. You may want to look at the rosters of the schools she is most interested in and determine if there will be openings for MH starting in 2019. Then go from there. I'd start looking at degree programs that interest her and also determine how far from home is ideal for you and her. Select 20 of your favorite schools and begin the elimination process.
Lower tier DI schools may be a possibility too but it seems she is still developing as a player so don't be disheartened if she doesnt get recruited her junior year. A lot of shuffling around and last minute decisions are made into many players' senior year. I know that when you hear of 8th grades getting recruited it makes you think that's common place but I think that's the exception and not the rule.
Those are some of the gems of knowledge I've picked up over the years. If I'm off base please correct me.

Lost of great info on the rules, unwritten rules and etiquette of college VB recruiting at the www.collegevolleyballcoach.com site. (He actually works for NCSA, but not too much overlap with their info.) We learned a lot by plowing through that site in detail.

You should not feel like you are behind the curve. I routinely have girls commit in early January of their senior year. I actually still have two of my 18's not committed yet and it is not time to panic yet, one will likely go D3 and the other D3 or NAIA.

Blair Brown went to Loudoun Valley? Right? She coaches at Buffalo if your daughter likes snow. But seriously, best of luck to your daughter.
