The book was so much better. I felt like the finale never really solidified the fact that Perry used his cousin's name when picking up women and THAT's the connection between Jane's experience and Celeste's. You were just supposed to know based on Jane's reaction at the party. That's such an important part of the story IMO.

I didn't even know Perry had a cousin.
I knew Perry was Jane's rapist, but that was about it.
