I couldn't come up with a fully-explanative short title for this. First of all, I couldn't care less about National Signing Day or college football; however, the video heading drew my attention. I know nothing of the background, but apparently mom is a big fan of Alabama and wanted her son to go there. (SPOILER ALERT) He picks Florida. Mom, clearly disgusted by this, walks out of the press conference and the kid has to give a rather awkward possible explanation as to why his mom doesn't appear to support his decision.
A few questions this raised. Why would you not tell your mother first? Why would mother deck out in Alabama gear not knowing that is where he would go? Why would he let her do that? The kid is getting a full scholarship to play football in college. Why is mother not happy that he is going to Florida for that opportunity? This is a decision that mom should not be hearing first on live TV. This situation has to be avoided.
Please note at 1:15 the amusing applause given by the guy behind him while he has his arms wrapped around the girl's neck.

The whole thing is stupid, I didn't hold an assembly the day I announced where I was going to college.

Must be an aunt that stuck around in the Alabama sweatshirt. She had a scowl on her face, however.

I was just happy that the girl I had a crush on in high school asked me where I was going. I told her. We had a nice chat about it because her father went to the same school.

I was happy because after people found out that I was going to MIT, I heard that the valedictorian of our HS told people that he could have gone to MIT if he had wanted to, but he didn't. (He went to Seattle U, I think.)

I thought that was a weird decision, but he has always been happy with it. He was always much smarter than me too; yet both of us have taught courses in college.

Lebron was a jerk to start this trend. Stop with the phony suspense. It's rude.

Lebron was a jerk to start this trend. Stop with the phony suspense. It's rude. Slightly different since he was already in the NBA, which I think makes that worse. When I first saw the OP video on YouTube, there was a suggested video that was of Dwyane Wade watching LeBron's decision. Apparently, Wade didn't know what LeBron was going to do. I found that odd since they are such good buds, but I still can't grasp your mother not knowing your decision before you go on national TV with her being decked out in gear of a different school than you know you're going to pick.
