Does anyone know if the Olympic snow volleyball will be on TV or streaming for the United States? The demonstration games are schedule for 16:00 local time Wednesday in South Korea, but I can't find it mentioned on U.S. viewing schedules.

I didn't look specifically for what you're asking about but this should be of some help in your quest. www.nbcolympics.com/

No, that was the first place I looked. If anyone else can find it there, that would be great.

Yes, it's only a demonstration sport. It is not a medal-winning sport yet. It will probably require greater adoption of this sport by more countries and greater participation in number of players before the sport can gain eventually medal status, whenever that may be.

I thought for sure this was a joke and that I was dumb for googling it. But there it is.

Maybe I should have explained that, but I thought most here would be aware of this. I still expected that a demonstration sport would get some TV time. NBC touts the 1800 hours of events they will be showing...

Less at stake means less media attention.

After watching the first video that came up, this seems dumb. I'm all for more volleyball, but making this an Olympic sport seems stupid.

Less at stake means less media attention. Yes, but modern media always seem to be looking for oddball, special-interest segments they can insert to break up the main events. That, combined with the popularity of beach volleyball in the summer Olympics, and the 1,800 hours of Olympics streaming they expect to fill with something, seemed to make this a natural for half an hour of coverage. I have a feeling that they may yet cover it, but without actually listing it in the published schedule highlights.

But back to topic, snow volleyball is very far from the popularity of beach volleyball, I'm afraid, at least for the time being. I mean, some posters don't even know of it's existence, and this is a volleyball forum! Don't get me wrong, I hope it will be aired, but just don't expect too much of it.
