Does anyone know of a place (website, etc.) where you can find used volleyball training equipment that's relatively cheap? Looking on behalf of very small local high school in the area.

Honestly email blast the local big clubs that have a facility or substantial amount of registrations, explain your situation or even ask to meet with the directors as every 5-7 years they probably are recycling old equipment that to them is no longer up to standards. But for a small school that can not afford new equipment as often some of the stuff they may be recycling is as good if not better than some of the equipment that a very small or low budget high schools are using. Even if they do not have exactly what you are looking for their network of connections may be able to help find something specific you have in mind you may want or need.

Colleges too. Sometimes they have money for new gear when gyms get updated or a fundraiser goes well. And even if there's been no updates lately you never know if a school just tossed their old stuff in a closet "in case we need it later." It never hurts to ask...

I have seven used net systems in storage that I would sell for a fraction of the original cost. DM me if interested.

They're looking for things such as setter trainers (I know that they aren't all that expensive), and the pricey piece of equipment they want is an aircat (not necessarily that brand). Also I forgot one, I'm not sure what they're specifically called but they're one of those machines that drops balls into a holder and then you hit it out of them

Also I forgot one, I'm not sure what they're specifically called but they're one of those machines that drops balls into a holder and then you hit it out of them I suggest they start fundraising, or look for a booster donation - these will probably be your best bets. Aircat is not the brand you want if you are going to spend a considerable amount of money, my personal opinion is they are trash. The piece of equipment you would want for a similar price is the Attack machine, and any club/college that has one most likely uses it pretty often. The other piece of equipment you are looking for is called and Acuspike and usually if a club is getting rid of theirs it is because they have already beaten the crap out of it and it may not be much use anymore. Both machines offer high amounts of pretty controlled reps but come with a tough price tag for a smaller school with no budget. Just like a lot of club girls do fundraising and work to pay off dues I would push for the program do find some sort of goal raising thing like a dollar per kill or ace on the season for the entire program, start teaching girls how to take (correct) stats so you don't bankrupt your family members but also accumulate over the years. This however is a tough sell to any of the upper class men, may need to be a freshman sophomore thing as they are the ones most likely to finally get use out of it.

I agree that the Sport Attack might be a good option for you, ($1200), although it's difficult to find a used one. You will need to acquire a set of balls (20 is nice, but I started with 10) as the machine does wear on them (not excessively).
Contact Acuspike as they sometimes sell their "floor models" from shows and clinics at a reduced rate. I wish I could have stepped up a level on this from the individual trainer ($900-$1000) to the team trainer, although the design has been improved over the last 3-4 years, and the individual trainer might now be easier to adjust.
I use both of these for junior/high school and 14s club.
