but then the NCAA Beach Tourny isn't a double-elimination tournament it is a fair championship tournament format - it's just not double-elimination 'true' double-elimination isn't the end-all heck, they could have a single-elimination tournament and it would have been be fair.....and FSU would be the National Champ So the whole tournament IS double elimination until the final match...call it what you want, but I call it B.S. why is it BS? it's NOT double elimination. it's a tournament that has a set format, with an advantage to avoiding the 'loser's ' bracket. Just like the pros do not have 'true' double elimination why does a tournament have to be double elimination to make it 'right'?

The double final the AVP used to use would have been so much better. (and it is fair) If there is a loser's bracket and you have to lose twice to be eliminated until the finals, then it IS double elimination, until the last match. Easy to fix and make fair. Have 1-5 play one match to 15...would have been epic drama.
