Hawaii really needs to find some consistency at the flight #5. Hopefully Hall can find the right pairing because we really need it against the top teams. But other than that, pretty impressed that Hawaii was able to beat an LSU team that beat USC.

Unfortunately, it seems like Hawaii is just under the elite this year. Still, so much parity this season compared to previous ones and with more programs starting (especially the BCS ones), it'll be harder for Hawaii to keep up IMO. I agree that Flight 5 seems to be where Hawaii needs to improve the most tho...

For the LSU match, Hawaii switched their #1 and #2 flights. Worked out. Also, they used Fitterer-Huddleston at #5, which didn't work.

No. 9 LSU (6-6), 4-1 1: Emily Maglio/Ka’iwi Schucht (UH) def. Claire Coppola/Kristen Nuss (LSU), 21-18, 21-19 2: Laurel Weaver/Carly Kan (UH) def. Haleigh Nelson/Hunter Domanski (LSU), 21-17, 21-16 3: Morgan Martin/Lea Monkhouse (UH) def. Emmy Allen/Maddie Ligon (LSU), 21-18, 15-21, 15-10 4: Amy Ozee/Ari Homayun (UH) def. Olivia Powers/Gina Tillis (LSU), 21-12, 22-20 5: Riley Young/Megan Davenport (LSU) def. Hi’ilawe Huddleston/Allyssah Fitterer (UH), 16-21, 26-24, 16-14 I liked that Hall was willing to make some changeups for this match. UCLA was the only other team to beat them 4-1 (Pepperdine beat them 3-2 and LSU beat USC 3-2). Nice win for our 4 pairing too. It was good to see Huddleston/Fitterer at 5 and it was a close match (UCLA, Pepperdine and, USC took this same LSU #5 pair to 3 sets as well). Teams that are making these small adjustments with the matchups are having some success. #3 Hawaii 4 vs. #9 LSU 1 Recap: www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=211705394SaveSave

Is Hawaii’s game against GCU aired on tv? No but their game against Nebraska on Tuesday will be. I think they'll only be showing the upper flights though.
