I sure hope Lexi doesn't read any of these threads...gotta feel for a 19 year old girl who probably hasn't had the easiest time adjusting the college, and now is getting trashed by complete strangers online. Lexi Sun transferred..................BIG DEAL She is a outstanding talent who will play for years after college for money.

Alright guys listen up, Texas will be fine for 2018. No shade against Lexi or Olivia but these girls actually divided the team! I’m not here to prove this to you all, but please trust me when I tell you that these 2 girls main priorities are men and party’s and not volleyball. Olivia should have played in 2017, why did she not play? Tardiness! Getting in trouble! Low grades! Poor study habits! Chasing after men and not volleyball! This unfortunately caused a lot of stress on the team and the team was no longer warm to her, unfortunately Lexi is a follower and not a leader. You can figure out what I’m saying without actually bashing these 2 poor girls! I have personally seen things on campus! Now to the 2018 Season: Team will be more motivated now that Sun and Olivia are gone: yes this sounds childish for me to say, but I know somethings that I won’t discuss on here. My predictions for starting lineup OH 1 Micaya OH2 Yazzie M1 Morgan M2 O’neal RS Butler S Shook L Rounsaville DS Hahn DS Sydney Petersen Starting line up option 2 OH 1 Micaya OH 2 Yazzie M1 Morgan M2 Butler RS Orie S Shook L Sydney Petersen DS Rounsaville DS Hahn We’re really concerned wth the pins but what you all don’t know is that Butler has actually been training in both Middle and right side with Texas. Maybe coaches predicted something like this happening. Also please don’t sleep on Orie, yes she hasent seen much playing time but a #5 recruit with her patience and now experience will be a Shainah Joseph these next 2 years. Orie could be a great Right Side or could also fill in on the OH position. Rounsaville and Hahn need a strong server at practice to help with passing. They are great diggers but lack in passing. Why? This is because they are facing the team serving them easy balls. I love both these 2 DS and people need to give them a break! Shock will show a lot of progress! This post is awful on so many levels

Hmmmm. Butler or Agbaji blocking on the right instead of YBG...that could be very effective. Hopefully the spring matches will reveal a little more. Spring Matches will probably show Orie, Butler and possibly Blair. You know nobody really talks about her. But I’ve seen her in practice and she’s pretty strong at slides and blocking. This girl needs to be pushed and good things could come out of that. Also the back up setter Rilley could be used as a backup Pin hitter untill O’neal And the other 2 DS/S come in. Jerritt Eliot and his coaching staff have a lot of work to do.

Not quoting Ray because I am sick of the posts being carried through the thread, but what biz is is of yours when they come to the matches? That is such a weird concern for you to have. Worse, you are eavesdropping on their conversations. I can picture you rubbing your hands together and giggling doing so. Gross.

I'm so over the last few posts about pointless posts. Please let's get back to Volley(ball) Talk. I'm still waiting for my spring practice videos/posts/conference.

[/quote][ It would be really nice to see some of the ladies on the bench shine this spring and maybe even into the fall. The reality is that these players would be starters at another D1 school---and I'm talking about top 25 programs, mind you. Texas just has so many competitive options that someone has to sit. I would be so pleased to have a player like NE's Albrecht, who completely broke out and crushed her senior year.

So, about Blair I shall write.
Mayo Researchers: ACL Injuries Need 2 Years To Heal. This research was done in the spring of 2017. Lots of folks don't want to hear that but research is research. Proceed at your own risk.
If I remember correctly, It has been less than 18 months since Blair had surgery.
I carefully watched Blair in last years warm ups before all home matches. It was clear there would be no playing time last year for Blair. Much surprised I would be to see her play in the Spring matches.
I remember Tiffany Baker playing in her last game at UT. It did sadden me to see her left in the game for as long as she was. Even one step was painful to watch. It had been less than 2 years after Tiffany had her surgery also.
Everyone loved watching Blair play. Personally I would err in favor of protecting Blair's health before playing her.

All of the information I've seen says 6-9 months, though I'm sure it depends on the athlete. Plenty of athletes have started playing again within a year: Harmotto (8 months), Tori Dixon (< 1 year), Barboza, Rachel Adams...

I wonder if this information will have any NCAA ramifications, since they basically only give student athletes a single year off (redshirt) without petitioning for medical hardship. I would think this would make it easier for athletes to get a 6th year if they took two years off after ACL injury. But knowing the NCAA, it likely won't.

We are pretty thin at the pins just as many of you stated. Our strength would be in the middle. I'm not too worried about this up coming season, we'll just have to see how things pan out? I do believe Shook will be much improved! HOOK EM'! I mean, can she get much worse? I hope not! Lol!
