Was thinking Carter would end up at Louisville, but they ended up pulling in a lot of 2019 talent and got 2 other 2020 OH’s so now I don’t know where she’d end up.

Do you have a breakdown of Louisville's commits, by chance? I know Dani snagged Tillman, Stivrins, Shields, and DeBeer. They also grabbed a local libero.

How can a 2020 commit and yet a 2019 Selena Xu has not committed to Stanford? Doesn't Admissions hold the cards at Stanford? What is the real story behind Stanford recruiting?

Most likely Stanford is their No. 1 choice... but nothing is official until they pass admissions. The recruits must feel confident they can get into Stanford because it is a bit awkward when you make an announcement to attend Stanford... only to get rejected by admissions. It's happened a few times in other sports and you feel for the athletes.

Let's just say it's a little complicated. Basically it's about pairing up, each side showing some interest. A highly ranked recruit has to show they have "grades and decent test taking (SAT or ACT) potential." Think of it this way: Why would Kevin and Denise spend time on someone who has little chance to pass muster with Admissions.

so... remaining talent in the 2020 class. These are sophomores currently, correct? Is it possible that there are great players that are just now learning the game? Are we implying that the best 2020's are all committed and that there aren't any decent players left?
