Did you read the part I highlighted? You said you hope Nebraska isn’t limiting themselves to 6’3”+ kids and I showed you they’re not. You clearly can’t detect irony I can detect an idiot such as you!

You clearly can’t detect irony I can detect an idiot such as you! Please. You completely misinterpreted shhhhhhhhhh’s post. I may be an idiot, but at least I can read and understand the context of posts without overreacting and posting hilariously misdirected rebuttals.

I’m aware that they’re not. I was responding to reach because his implication don’t seem to be based in fact since arbitrary height benchmarks doesn’t seem to be a factor for other Nebraska players or recruits. Do you get it now? No I don’t get it and you said nothing pertaining to reach in your posts. jasonr was correct in the case of Marriah Buss. Each case is different. This case is unique because Marriah is a Nebraska girl. A Nebraska girl will get more consideration, I think, over others. However, she is undersized and 6’0” is being generous. Annika was a big time exception as an undersized player. She had to pay her dues though. She walked on and eventually earned a scholarship and wasn’t a starter until her last year in school. How many of the top programs have starting OH’s under 6 feet tall like Marriah? How many scholarships do they offer those undersized players? What I do get is your radical agenda in implying Nebraska practices height discrimination. This is truly laughable and absurd! This is just like you and your ilk making stupid comments about skin color on the Nebraska team. What’s next on your agenda that Nebraska doesn’t recruit boys that try to pass themselves off as girls by taking female hormones? Lol wow. My post went right over your head, eh? Jasonr understood what I was trying to communicate/question. That’s all that matters. Stay confused.

She played in every single set Nebraska played over 4 years, led the team in total serves 3 of 4, led the team in serve recepts once and had 500+ in 3 of 4 years, had 300+ digs in 2 of 4. But she wasn't a starter and had to pay her dues. Okay

They were recruited as walk-ons who would be used in the back row and as serving specialists and would be given an opportunity to compete for an OH spot. One took that offer and the other didn't. However, Albrecht's case shows that Buss probably had little chance of earning an OH spot. Anni didn't earn it until her senior year (and she's extremely talented for her size) and that was mostly due to the dearth of arm talent Nebraska had on the left coming into the season. She had to beat out Boender and a true freshman in Slaughter. Given Nebraska's projected roster/recruiting going forward, Buss would've faced much stiffer competition. I don't know what Buss' family finances are like and whether she could forgo a scholarship, but that, combined with the slim chance of playing at the net (something she wants to do), along with the leftside talent Nebraska has coming in, probably all factored into her decision to look elsewhere.

Back to Buss, from what I've seen of her, she's a solid six rotation player. I think she'd visited Wisconsin, and based on her social media followers, she was recruited by power 5 programs. Wichita State must have just been the best fit. She'll certainly be able to make a huge impact right away, and help them continue to grow their program. Congrats to both her and the Shockers.

Shockers are getting a real good player that can play all the way around. If only she were 2-3" taller she probably would've received a Nebraska offer instead of a walk-on invite. Is McKenna Ruch in the same boat as Marriah Buss? I’ve been told Ruch may be an even better prospect than Buss but she’s only about 6 feet tall. A little taller but not tall enough for NU, so I suppose she’s in the same boat as Buss as a preferred walk-on candidate. The 2020 in-state class is one of the better prep classes in Nebraska and the 2021 class is even better.

Buss stayed closer to home. Had offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Wisconsin and Colorado
WS I guess made her feel at home
Nebraska had no scholarships for her. Was offered walk on. She is amazing player.
