maybe it is just a ct thing. Could be. It's not a Washington thing, I can say with some certainty.

OK, you're right. When I googled up "parmesan peppercorn connecticut" I did get a lot of restaurant hits.

Probably, but I don't leave the state often enough to know. Teriyaki places seem to be pretty Seattle-specific (at least in the US). (I have read that teriyaki sauce was actually invented in Hawaii by Japanese immigrants, though the fast-food style teriyaki joint was invented here.) They are still all over, but are not as prevalent as they once were. Back in the late 80s / early 90s, Seattle was basically the only place in America you could buy a latte. Not anymore, though.

Speaking of teriyaki, there was a chain in South Florida called the Teriyaki Bowl, or Tokyo Bowl...I forget which. Guess what they served? Chicken teriyaki in a rice bowl was reasonably priced and quite fulfilling. Thought they closed down, but I do see a Tokyo Bowl still listed in the North Miami and Ft Lauderdale area. Have to drop by the next time I'm there.

So I want to know, is bluefin and basically almost all other kinds of tuna are now consider endangered and on the red list of food to be avoided? Which type of tuna is unaffected?

I didn't know until this past weekend that I had a weekly dine-out budget for the past 10 years!
My wife was suggesting I could eat at this eatery and that restaurant and so forth (instead of my usual KFC, In&Out, El Pollo Loco) and still be under budget. I asked, "Budget? What budget?"
"You always had a budget but you're such a cheap b*****d that you have never gone over and there was no need to bring it up."
LOL!

The wife brought home (from work) a Christmas-themed bouquet made to look like a bouquet of flowers but made of fruit. I'm now eating chocolate-dipped strawberries. Whoever came up with this brilliant idea must think we're all cult-like idiots because chocolate-dipped strawberries is the nastiest thing I've ever tasted.

We ship an edible arrangements bouquet to my grandparents every thanksgiving but then go to their house for thanksgiving and eat it anyway lol. This year they did chocolate and caramel covered apples instead of strawberries. Really good.

Interesting tuna fact: they're endothermic and strong, high-endurance swimmers. The combination can result in them basically searing their own flesh if they overexert themselves (like if they're hooked on a line and fight it aggressively). So much for sashimi!

Granted, it can be an acquired taste. I think albacore tuna still has sustainable levels.
