Besides chocolate and gold brick eggs, is there a tradition of particular dishes for Easter dinner? I felt like I was at Thanksgiving this past weekend.

I'm probably just going to go for Red Robin tonight. Their fries are OK if you like "fat" fries. I went there the first time a few years ago. Then I went to see a Jason Bourne movie. Nearly puked from the car chaser sc cents and I have not had the desire to go back. Not the restaurant's fault, but my brain automatically makes the connection. I’ve severely tested their “bottomless” fries policy. I was told that I was getting cut off once.

Red Robin makes me sad, because when I was a kid it was a Seattle tavern that became known for its burgers. Of course, I didn't go to the tavern as a kid, but they opened up some non-tavern locations. But time passed, and Red Robin expanded and expanded and became a corporate mall chain owned by some company in Denver. Now if I go to it, I kind of feel like I'm going to a Dennys.
At least they still serve a bacon burger with a fried egg on it. I learned to like that from Red Robin back in the day and it's still one of my favorite combinations.

Not a huge fan of RR but I'm a huge fan of egg on a burger. Built in sauce!

You need to have some Mexican breakfasts, like chilaquiles if you like fried eggs on top of things.

This low carb thing seems to be working. 2 lbs in 3 days.

This low carb thing seems to be working. 2 lbs in 3 days. (Note: I'm not arguing here, just speaking from experience.) Weight can fluctuate for a number of reasons. It could be the two pounds are a result of the diet. It could also be other factors. Three days is not a long enough sample. However, continued weight loss after a week+ could be indicative that it is working. Still there are other factors at play, but if the only thing you have changed outside of your normal routine is your diet, then it should probably be attributed for the change.

The key is consistency. You have to continue exercising and eating right, otherwise it's all down the drain.

This low carb thing seems to be working. 2 lbs in 3 days. Low carb definitely works, by depriving your body of carbs you put the body into ketosis, which basically means that you are burning fat rather than carbohydrates. Great deal right? Except that our bodies also require carbohydrates to function, carbs are quick energy and fat and protein are slower acting. By the way, going into ketosis is bad news for diabetics, they can pass out and die from extended ketosis. In today's diet, there is really no reason to worry about not having enough carbs to function since our pre-processed foods have so much carbs in them. The problem is that it is really hard to stay off the carbs. When I was on the low carb diet I always gave myself a break once in a while and fed the craving. The short term pounds came back but they will also go away once you get back on the wagon.

Thursday, April 5, is National Burrito Day. So, most likely, you can probably get a free burrito (or BOGO deal) somewhere.
Just a heads up.
I'm going to El Pollo Loco because I got a BOGO coupon for that day.

You're in luck. I'm nowhere near the Pacific Northwest.
