What's a "Wolfgang diet"? I'd like to get in on that. Healthy; not crap. Oh, you'd be surprised. I love: french fries potato chips hot dog BBQ ribs various sausages But I also love health food crap, too. I would stuff kale, spinach, and broccoli down my throat without resistance. Ditto kefir.

This low carb thing seems to be working. 2 lbs in 3 days. Hmmm ... isn't a 2-lb weight fluctuation a common happening? I confessed that I never tried any type of weight loss diet, knowing that I can never keep it up, and also because I live to eat (or eat to live?) I do believe in a balance diet though, by eating equal amount of dark chocolate and white chocolate. True story: the best "diet" success for me? A bad flu! I lost 5 lbs in 3 days this January. Unfortunately all 5 came back after a month. Now, this following diet does work: A blonde is terribly overweight, so her doctor puts her on a diet. "I want you to eat regularly for two days, then skip a day and repeat this procedure for two weeks. The next time I see you, you'll have lost at least five pounds." When the blonde returns, she's lost nearly 20 pounds. "Why, that's amazing!" the doctor says. "Did you follow my instructions?" The blonde nods. "I'll tell you, though, I thought I was going to drop dead that third day." "From hunger, you mean?" asked the doctor. "No, from skipping," Do I get suspended for blonde discrimination?

So, how about some favorite comfort food. - Congee, rice porridge, thats what my mom would give me if i am sick. Putting preserved eggs and pork makes it that much better.
- Meat loaf, I don't know how, but I acquired a taste for meatloaf. Brown gravy an mashed potatoes, no ketchup for me.
- Pupusas, Salvadoran/Honduran delicacy, reminds me of the time that I lived there.
- Jam pong. Korean spicy seafood noodle soup. All kinds of goodies in there and spicy enough to make you sweat.
- Grits. I know, weird, but i grew to like it during my time living in Atlanta. Very comforting.
- Tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Even though I have come to be lactose intolerant, i still like having the grilled cheese occasionally. But a great tomato soup is hard to come by.
- I am comforted by soups in general, but cream based chowders are really my thing.
- Taiwanese breakfast, soy milk, savory crullers wrapped in savory seasme pancakes.
- A good lox and bagel, with onions, capers, cream cheese. Sunday morning regular with coffee and the Sunday NYT until my doctor put a stop to the bagel.

Well, as long Lady Clarol is available, I’m blonde. Down another 2 pounds. Getting pretty sick of eggs for breakfast.

Well, I just ate a hard-boiled egg, a stick of Mozzarella cheese, and 2 bananas and I'm still hungry! Maybe I should just swing over to In-n-Out and grab a burger.

Today is Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day. Sadly for me, the nearest places that are participating are all located in San Francisco -- over an hour's drive for me!
Pass.

What shall I eat today? A coupon would be nice in helping me answer this question.

A local place has a good deal on wings. Think I'll hit it up on my way home from practice.

Today is Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day. Sadly for me, the nearest places that are participating are all located in San Francisco -- over an hour's drive for me! Pass. I did that. Right at the location in Berkeley. Students being willing to standing in line for something free, about 75% of the line seemed to be college students. Including one potty-mouthed brat who couldn't stop using four-letter words in front of my 7 year old. It was kind of different. There were people offering a front of the line pass for $2, which I suppose was supposed to go to some charitable cause. They were also selling raffle tickets where the prize was Ben & Jerry's ice cream cakes. Also - almost everyone working there seemed to be from this same organization. I don't know what the deal was, but it sounds like Ben & Jerry's was paying the organization for providing workers and then allowing them to fundraise with the raffle tickets and the front of the line passes. They also had a collection jar for donations. There were limited flavors available, and nothing was available for sale. Not a waffle cone, not sprinkles, or even coffee. They were completely turned over to giving away free ice cream.

As I was running errands, I found an El Pollo Loco coupon in my car. It expires on 4/28 and, for the life of me, I couldn't remember today's date. My cell phone was dead from lack of charge. So, I walked around the parking lot and saw an old lady in a walker. I approached her and said, "Excuse me. Do you know what today's date is?"
She turned gray and started to walk faster. Was she thinking I was a mugger or something?
"Do you know if today is April 28?"
And she just said, "No! No! No!" and continued walking faster.
It was very unnerving.
