I don’t know why their clubs are listed at all.

There is nothing interesting about this. Just that it lists 12 instead of 14 athletes.

I don’t know why their clubs are listed at all. I didn't know that was a club until now. I guess "Jay" thought it would be nice for those who like to keep track of USA players and the international clubs they play for. It also helps keep in mind what type of league these players are getting experience from. Like how "tangotango" talked about Kadie Rolfzen playing in a smaller and weaker league in Japan. Nonetheless, any type of experience playing in a league is important whether if its a small league or big league. Plus all players have to start somewhere, work their way up, and show they can perform.

Not sure why it's not registering but who is Nancy Vandoeuvre? Vandoeuvre Nancy isn't a person, but a volleyball club in France which Amanda Benson (Libero) is currently playing for. Thank you. I was thinking who got married? But I couldn't think of a libero with the first name Nancy.. too much to drink tonight.

I'm not as interested in rosters right now; I care way more about who is going to get a shot in the gym in general: OHs: I think we'll see Larson, Hill, Robo, Barstch, Kingdon, Newcombe, and Wilhite returning from last summer. Would love to see Lanier, Edmond, Lee, Plummer, Snyder, Agost, K. Rolfzen, and Anae too. We must learn to develop pin talent. OPPs: McMahon, Drews, Whitney... meh. Would love to see Fawcett back, Hooker obviously, Toliver and Nwanebu get looks. MBs: Foluke, Adams, Gibby, Dixon, Wopat, Happ, Papp, McCage, and Alhassan all expected back. Excited to see what Washington, Ogbogu, Inky, and Cuttino can do. And I really think Amber Rolfzen needs an investment. I think she has a ton of potential to be a top international middle. Rettke should be in the gym too. S: Lloyd, Carlini, Hancock... don't know if Dannemiller has been finally cut yet or not. Sponcil and Hunter should get invites too. L: JWO, Courtney, Benson, Hahn... Albrecht, Lake, Muno... Sponcil should get a shot here too. And, if we can develop some pin talent in the next couple years (not holding my breath), Larson should get a look here too. I think she could be incredible in this role. Cuttino didn't try out in the Middle during the Open Tryout, nor has she been playing MH for Purdue.. She tried out at OPP, listed as an OH for Purdue. Like most of these Setter options, but no list is complete without Poulter.. For the Mids, Inky is still rehabbing, isn't she? That was the last I heard at least. Rettke isn't ready for the NT, don't kid yourself. She'd be eaten alive by a healthy Inky. I'd loooove to see Hentz compete against that libero group..

They can't only hit hard, they can actually receive and dig well. Not sure about Nwanebu because she's very picky with sets. I don’t get where you think Nwanebu is picky with sets. Set it up to the RS and she’ll go after it. Chloe knew exactly where to set it and Nwanebu hit .379 for the 2016 season. With sets going everywhere in 2017 season, Nwanebu still hit .345.

Not that I think they're making these rosters, but I'm confused why people have both Plummer and Foecke at OPP. Both can pass/defend well and are lethal attackers on the left. I think people underestimate how difficult it is to transition to the RS, especially at the international level, and if they can pass and play 6 rotations, we have plenty of other terminal attackers who can fill that OPP spot.
A Plummer/Foecke 1-2 punch on the left gets me excited.

Of course Karch can`t watch all of them but he`s certainly getting reports about every single one of them and keeping track of their performances. For example, I checked the stats in France and the American Libero ranks in 11th place. That is not good, especially considering the level of the French League. If it was Italy or Turkey then it would not be so bad.... And you hear a lot of people saying Karch should invite all these college players, but the thing is that Karch can not predict how well they will do against actually pro players...and mostly important going up against teams like China, Serbia, Brazil, Italy. These teams do have players that are the same age ( and some are even younger) as college girls, but they just have a different experience and their coaches knows exactly what level they are. If they were going up only against teams like Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland... then yeah all these college players should be enough....but that is not the case. I honestly can predict 90% of the roster that will make to the World Championship. ( All the vets that we already know will be there).

This will also be China's hardest pool as well. I wonder how China's new star Li Yingying born in 2000 will do against these teams?

Kadie Rolfzen did not show good reception in Japan. Very often she would get replaced when she was on the back and sometimes she would get covered. She did spike well, but when you are 1.93cm and everyone on the other side is 1.70 spiking becomes easy. She also does not show any personality. I would certainly take Annie Mitchem over her. But considering the level of Thailand, Dominican Republic and Germany...She might be good enough to go up against them. Did you really think this post was going to fly? This is the third time you've given patently false information about a former Nebraska player. Kadie actually finished the season with a 50.0% POS% for serve-receive, finishing the season as the top-ranked foreign player in both passing and digging metrics! Neriman and Branka, in comparison, both passed < 37.0% marks. Just FYI, there's a Japanese fansite online with all of her matches uploaded, so when exactly did Kadie get subbed out of sets like you claim?

MIhajlovic, Neriman, and Carcaces played as OPP, and Foluke, Furst and Jackson as MB. so DUHH...of course she finished as best foreigner player both in passing and digging once she was the only one right?? DUHHH Mihajlovic, Carcaces and Neriman did not receive...they played full time as OPP. so yeah...that shows how much you watched and how much you know. Well, all the Japanese V League games are available on youtube. Just go ahead and search for " Toray Arrows 2017-2018".. watch all the games and you will see that sometimes she got subbed when she was on the back, and sometimes there were someone covering her. Go ahead and watch the games and will see and then we talk about her performance ok?? Because clearly you did not watch any....otherwise u would know what I`m talking about.. edit: I can`t tell you exactly when that happened because it happened more than once...u gotta watch every game to find out..lol
