I won $1500 at the slots in Aria's lobby. Aria truly is 👌🏻 Go to that Mexican restaurant right off the floor. Those chips and salsa tho... also the margs. The Bloody Marys at that one bar that has a few steps down right in the lobby - those gave me life after a particularly bad night in the upstairs bar with the dancers. I was there with friends and oh! what a night. I never suffered the morning after as I did that trip. Those Bloody Mary's saved me. Hair of the dog!! 😂 I'll have to try the margaritas next time!!

Or will the NCAA leverage fear of losing tournament hosting (College Football Championship, Final Four, etc.) and lobby states from legalizing sports betting? I think there's no question they will use the threat of "no NCAA events if you legalize sports betting". The question for each state will be, "Will we make more money on legalized sports betting or on hosting NCAA events?" I suspect for most states, it will be legalized betting. If enough states legalize betting, the NCAA will be faced with the prospect of backing down or facing the prospect of a limited pool of potential tournament sites. The College Football Championship is not an NCAA-owned event, so they would have no say where those games are played.

WVB is all excited about their upcoming tournaments in Pittsburgh, Omaha and Columbus so that fans can enjoy the potential for sub-freezing temps in mid-December. (And possibly an ice-storm or blizzard.)
Meanwhile, the Women's D1 basketball tournament kicks off Friday in Tampa.
So, I guess it is possible to do a tournament in a warm climate town. Good to know.

I went to Tampa for the VB FF and it was colder than usual. Not Nebraska cold mind you, but I was hoping to catch sunshine, and ended up in a sweatshirt all weekend. Have we tried San Diego? I wouldn't mind Vegas, but Phoenix and San Diego would also be good choices or no?

So, other than family connections, job, and a nostalgic sense of "home," why don't people move away from Nebraska to someplace warmer and more hospitable to, I don't know, human life?

It's not gambling that makes Vegas bad, it's the visitors. Agreed. Every time I see a tourist wearing a red MAGA hat, I want to throw up on their face. wow. pretty pathetic.

Why have a site that lacks attendance such as west coast and the south?? NCAA know if they hold tournaments in Midwest (ie: Neb, Minn & Kan) for example they will be well attended regardless of climate. Big10 teams travel.... Apparently you are saying that "Big10 teams only travel just so far", because unless you host the tournament in Big10 country, then they won't go?

Maybe because we prefer to be around people who don't ask frigging dumba** questions that effectively crap on 1.9 million people.

The NCAA probably likes having a full arena and record-setting crowds, which they've had the last few years in Omaha, Kansas City, and Minneapolis.
