There's a DAmbrose listed on the SPRI 18 Elite team. Does that mean that a family member of one of the potential "class victims" is the attorney for the Butler's? It's not just current players, so isn't the lawyer herself a "class victim"?

So, the Butlers and their supporters practice the same shenanigans in court as they do in these threads. SMH

Just passed rick butler at the Chicago High performance tryouts. Why is he allowed here???? IF he is still there, and you're there, 1) contact the event organizers (say somethin' like, "I am going to scream out his name" ;-)) & demand action; 2) Phone WGN w/info.

Beat me to it. This is huge. This could possibly bankrupt the business. Someone else just clued me in on just how huge this is: both RB and CB will be deposed by the lawyers bringing the class action suit. They have to tell the truth under oath.

Someone else just clued me in on just how huge this is: both RB and CB will be deposed by the lawyers bringing the class action suit. They have to tell the truth under oath. Can anyone clarify what exactly this means? I understand there now has to be a trial, but is there any way they can now say they want to settle? I also understand they will be deposed, but don't you think their version of the truth is what they will testify to? They've told their story so many times, I think we all believe that is "their version" of the truth. I agree this is good news that we've all been waiting for, especially the victims. Just want to know if they do decide to settle #1, can they? #2 will plaintiffs attorney or judge allow a settlement? If not and it took 11 months just to get to the point of making this a class action, how long would a trial drag on? Any light anyone can shed on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Thank you It's a gambit for them. They can stick with their story they can then be prosecuted for perjury if they are caught. Or they can tell the truth. The extent that the lawyers will go after the truth is the key. In addition. Sarah Powers will also be giving her deposition, even though this is not the same as an in court confrontation.

I think their version is he had sex with after they had finished playing for him and or were no longer minors. Given the documented hand written love letters sent to a 16 year old would make that difficult to believe. The DCSF report citing credible belief he had sex with 16year olds would also come into play if they stick to their story. Perjury carries prison sentence of up to 5 years.
