Players are packing up their bags. I’m guessing it’s over. Carol hobbling off with her foot wrapped. That doesn’t sound good... especially since they’re on the rise. FIVB site showing forfeit. Agatha and Duda are next for Kerri and Nicole.

I went back and looked at the play and she went up for a block, came down awkwardly and then just kind of collapsed. She put no weight on it while leaving the court. Have to think their status for next weekend is in jeopardy Certainly appears like it’s a high ankle sprain or Achilles...If it’s the Achilles’ tendon, oh boy...🙁🙁🙁

I have bad knees, bad back etc. I want nothing to do with the Achilles. You are never the same after one of those.

But everyone seemed to know immediately that it was over. Kerri came over and put her arm around Maria.

Can we get two teams into the semifinals? That would be awesome!

Can we get two teams into the semifinals? That would be awesome! No... I think Kerri & Nicole are playing well but not well enough to beat Duda & Agatha...Kerri & April couldn’t even beat them... Britt & Kelly make the Semis..

I think Duda and Agatha started out fiery last year but like MHP and SP, they are beatable now.

Britt & Kelly make the Semis.. Kelly/Brit have had the golden touch as far as getting good draws on the FIVB this year. If they can make the semis or even the finals (and their bracket is very weak) they have to be getting close to the US points lead.

They’re in country quota for sure for Gstaad as seeding is already complete for that. But maybe they’ll get direct entry to the main draw in Vienna Major.

The entry seeding list as of June 25th, 2018:
Alix (990) and April (1460) - 2450 Summer (1160) and Sara (1020) - 2120 Kelly (1100) and Brit (750) - 1850 KWJ (780) and NB (860) - 1640
These points are based on the best 4 of the last 6 tournaments entered.
The two teams remaining in Poland have at least another 240 points per person, or 480 points per team.
Sara and Summer earned 160 points each from Poland, but that will probably be dropped from their best 4 of 6.
Anyone want to calculate how many points these teams will have for next week’s Vienna seeding?
If it’s best 4 of 6 tournaments, maybe staying at home was better if they’re not winning. However, teams need to be ranked in top X in the world (including maximum two per country) to play at World Tour Finals. That’s the reasoning I got for these points.

Isn’t World Tour Finals the same weekend as Manhattan Beach this year? WTF offers the most total prize money, but missing it isn’t quite so bad when you can play MBO instead and probably finish higher.
