Event in Nantong, China. Women's only, $25,000 total prize purse. Part of something called the Silk Road Tour. Not an FIVB "star" event, but still part of the Beach World Tour.
USA has 2 entries: Irene Pollock & Amanda Dowdy (8th seed), the Witt sisters (24th seed) who won two matches today in qualifier to reach main draw.

Dowdy/Pollock also advance, winning their pool.
Josi/Lili of Brazil, probably best team in event, on same side of bracket with Dowdy/Pollock. Pardon/Nash on opposite side.

That's a 9th plane for them. Pollock/Dowdy win and advance to quarterfinals, which will be played in the US overnight hours.

Yup! She was a bit down after the loss, but upbeat about the experience so far. Wang/Xia a shoe-in for finals, but interested to see how Dowdy/Pollock do against the Brazilians.
After that... on to Singapore!
