My wife's friend's daughter, named Siri, was just informed that her frosh roommate is named Alexa.
You know this was no coincidence.

Can they even talk to each other in the room?

Well, the good news is her new roommate is not named Google Assistant.
Seriously, is Alexa even that widely known?

Can they even talk to each other in the room? There's just a lot of name-calling.

Read an article on how your name can make a big difference on whether you get a job or not. One actress, who was Hispanic, said she never even got an audition for Hispanic roles because her last name was Phillips. She changed her name to Perez and got many auditions.
Another guy that was Vietnamese said he couldn’t get an interview, despite being top of his class. His first name was Phuc 😬. But got a job within a week after changing his name to Matthew.

Your online name affects whether I remember you or not. If your name is a "vb" variant, I probably won't remember you, especially on a volleyball board where 80-90% of the users have "vb" variant names. If your name has some sort of number, I probably won't remember you.
