I wish she would drop out of school and go full time FIVB right now as well along with all the AVP's.

Take advantage of the prestigious UCLA degree and elite coaching. Don't bail to maybe make 10k this year... I think that would really depend on her goal and what she could get in terms of partnership. If she is committed to being a pro beach player, and if she could get a solid commitment to a full year from Fendrick (which is basically a hypothetical now since Lauren is hurt), she can get the degree later and likely wouldn't be using it for 10 years or so anyway. I think staying in school really hurt Claes/Hughes as players, or at least delayed it. With young players the sooner you get them playing at the top level the better, I think that has been shown to be true pretty consistently around the world and in many sports. Maybe she can get all that experience this Summer by playing a lot and practicing with top teams etc. so I could definitely be wrong, but practicing with and playing against lesser players has limited value at Sarah's level

I'd like to see Claes with a bit more athletic defender too.

So she said she’s looking for a partner for Seattle, which is next week. Lauren is supposed to be playing FIVB with Lane. Who’s the best partner Sponcil could get?

If I were Emily Day and Sarah would commit to all the AVPs and a few FIVBs I would give Betsi her walking papers. I expect Britt to end the season back with Day.

How is Emily Day as a full time blocker? I would say fine. She won an AVP tournament as a full time blocker. That’s for sure an accomplishment.

She and Britt won half the AVPs they played last year, same as Phil. Of the AVP blockers I think she is probably third best behind Alix and Summer.
