I'm rather un-American meself but wish these teams the best in their attempt to overthrow the Shockers

And probably the bigger return is Jordan Thompson for Cincinnati. She had almost 5 kills per set as a sophomore in 2016 before tearing her ACL just before the '17 season started. They'd be my pick. Agree with a healthy Thompson they could be the top team. Just seem to under perform in the past. Should be a close race at the top.

I am looking forward to watching UC play at Colorado State at the end of August. I think they will be the team to beat in this conference. I expect the matches in Fort Collins to be very competitive.

Anyone know when the pre-season poll comes out? My top 4 are: Wichita St Cinci Temple SMU
The teams that will make the biggest improvements are Tulane and Tulsa.
Predict 5 teams make the post season. (2 NCAA)

Just the calm before the STORM baby! The storm of not being a top five conference. Keep promoting Girlpower. The top 5 has become extremely predictable in recent years, albeit top level play, it’s become a little blah, blah, blah. I enjoy the mid-power conference threads. Looking forward to more news from Big East, WCC, MAC & MWC and the others.

I would not count out East Carolina. Great transfers and solid class. Russ has their recruiting really taking off.

Wouldn't make it past tense because while he has left, his recruiting while there has still laid a good foundation.

Way to go out on a limb there. Wichita State has a lot of questions. Cincy can be very good. If Thompson is at her normal level, they are easily in the tournament Temple has a lot of questions but I think their fresh S is pretty talented. South Florida could make some noise, but not enough to warrant a tournament bid, I think ECU returns the FOY and adds the Minny transfer, maybe they'll gel

Not likely they can win either of these matches, but can they be competitive?
