2 JR top 50 now gone. 88 of the JR top 100 left - although only 12 of them are setters... I didn't realize the USC de-commit - but I suspect that USC will still end up with the #2 class. Here is the top 5 class via projected Black Ink: 1. Stanford 2. USC 3. Nebraska 4. TCU 5. Purdue I think Ohio State could have its first top 5 class this year

It’s a great Texas year for recruiting, probably a bit more so than usual and TCU did a good job of keeping them ladies home.

Absolutely shocked by 88. Then again, I don't think it's a strong recruiting class and PrepVB may agree. Most had her as a top 5-6 setter in the class. 15 more setters to go. Like you, I think this player is too low. There may be other factors at play besides ability though. Wow.... well either there are a ton in the next 30 or setters as a group made a big jump this past year.

90. Georgia Tech 89. BYU 88. Uncommitted (ex-USC) 87. Notre Dame 86. Minnesota 85. Cal Poly 84. Long Beach St. 83. Florida St. 82. Colorado 81. Michigan St. How good is 88? In your opinions is this a big loss for USC? Is she going to be a very solid get for someone else? Dropped or dropped by USC. Quit her club team halfway through (no longer at coast). Highly ranked Hs team got smoked by Mater Dei this week. Maybe not into the game? 88 seems generous

Here is the top 5 class via projected Black Ink: 1. Stanford 2. USC 3. Nebraska 4. TCU 5. Purdue Nebraska above USC. There has been some shuffling of players (Top 50 RS/Top 100 L no longer going there - I also don't think they'll be as high in Senior Aces as they were in Jrs). I'd also put a few teams in that 5 slot instead. From what I am seeing - the difference between #4 and ~ #15 may not be all that much and unpredictability in how the final 80 will come out. From memory, I think I had Ohio State, Louisville, Texas, Kansas and Oregon in the next 5. For now, TCU and Purdue get the edge since they have more players that appear to be in the top 80 - even accounting for the big gun for Ohio State. And Texas only has 2 which kind of caps their ranking. I know others have questioned TCU (and they may be right), but it looks like they may have 4 in the top 80 and if 3 of them land in the top 50 that may be enough for #4. Regardless, a very successful looking class going in.

The highest libero is not as high as last year I know you can't give it away, but I'd guess Hinkle and Knuckles are the top 2 liberos. Both in the top 35 somewhere.

Texas prep is flush with talent and Jill is a good recruiter. She's been recruiting well for a few years, it just so happens this class is even better than usual. You'd expect them to start delivering on results. They had a nice season a couple years ago.
