Good to know there’s at least one dependable terminator on the team. Question: what’s the significance of taping each individual finger as shown, is it a protective measure or a fashion statement?

Regarding taped fingers - It’s Texas ... so maybe both? Lol. Think it’s a preventive measure to probably decrease the likelihood of sprains. But if now say, the libero or ds is also doing that ... then, uh ...

Good to know there’s at least one dependable terminator on the team. Question: what’s the significance of taping each individual finger as shown, is it a protective measure or a fashion statement? I always thought it was to increase strength -- more solid areas to contact the ball -- and minimize scraping during digging, passing, and going for loose balls. The latter I gleaned from my own experience with my doggies. When I have to cut their nails, I tape my knuckles to prevent them from getting scraped along the concrete floor. I grab a paw with one hand and the guillotine cutter with the other. My dogs would invariably move their paws while I'm holding on to it. Without the tapes, my knuckles would scrape and bleed along the concrete floor. This is just a guess. I don't know for sure.

So excited to see that Jolie played so well. She really seems like the LS terminator that we have lacked since Hartong. Mitchem could have been one but she was rotated around too much.
Im excited to see how the freshman produce and I definitely think Jolie will be something special for us.

I haven't seen Rasmussen play but I really really LOVE her numbers. She's like an Emily Hartong, Kanani Danielson, and Nikki Taylor, but much more efficient (higher hitting pct), granted this is based on a single exhibition match in the spring.

What makes Jolie's number more impressive is that she was stricken with food poisoning earlier in the week and she also did not participate in a live game for almost a year. She was not 100% in any way.
Wonder how good she would be if she was not stricken with illness and is at maximum condition?
She did show she have wonderful skill sets and high VB IQ.
By fall, she should be in shape and she will have had time to work more with her current teammates. She will probably blossom into a potential BWPOY type. A dominant MB will open up the offense for her and she will be even more potent.
Hope Tiffany Westerberg and Amber Igiede are working hard. Its there job to take since only Skyler is the only returning middle with Kamalei recovering from surgery and may need time to recover.

Rasmussen's blocking numbers weren't impressive. However, I wasn't there and maybe she had a lot of touches? Don't know.

I think RAMS should keep Williams in all the spring matches for the full matches like she did with Texas. She can get more experience and footwork.

I feel like after 3 sets, for a middle to play the entire 3 sets, you get diminishing returns. When you're tired, you're just not learning anymore.

If she can get a little quicker, she will be a blocking machine. Really solid swing blocking technique. I remember she turned it on against Pepperdine last year.
