Season is over..who do y’all think? Once the season is over... is there really a hot seat... or just “resignations" and "retirement"

Auburn...too many departures not to raise a few administrative eyebrows. Would be a premier job

Speculation over coaching changes at UNC can be put to rest. Sagula signs 5 year deal plus is bringing back some strong players, a very good class for 2019, and rumor is that 2021 is going to have some big recruits.

Auburn...too many departures not to raise a few administrative eyebrows. Would be a premier job Premier? I don't know about that. Auburn athletics has had a few too many scandals to make any claims like that yet but they do have new leadership, and conveniently, he's addressed how he will evaluate coaches... www.montgomeryadvertiser.com/story/sports/college/rankinfile/2018/06/29/athletic-director-allen-greene-firings-part-changing-auburn-athletics/741944002/ However, how Greene handles coaches when they’re not winning is a big part of changing Auburn, too.
“My philosophy is looking at the inputs,” he said. “How are they recruiting? How are the coaches handling players? How are they administratively from a compliance perspective? Do they return emails from academic advisers? Are they doing performance reviews?”
In short, Greene demands coaches take care of all things relatable to the “student-athlete experience.”
Those who do stand a greater chance of remaining at Auburn under Greene.
“It actually gets down to nitty-gritty of are they doing the things that make them a good teammate as coaches and coaching staffs,” Greene continued. “If they are, then I’m more likely to be helpful and help them navigate through a difficult time. If they’re not, then those are certainly things we have to address.”

Though I don't think at this point Auburn should be mentioned in this thread for 2018 (though I suppose I could be wrong). The seat will definitely be warm next year, however. Maybe even sizzling.

The 2021 class will be freshmen during his 40th year as a head coach, so he can't be young. How long will he coach? I don't pretend to know enough about Sagula or UNC to know how long he will continue, but he is at an age that administrations and recruits start asking questions. He graduated from college in 1978 (according to his UNC bio). If you assume he graduated from college at age 22 (usually a pretty good estimate), that would make him around 62-63 years old.

With another possible big transfer from Auburn...that seat is getting Hell Hot! Agreed, but do you think it'll be a 2018 issue, though? (Honest question - I don't know if an AD would make a move at this point?)

I don't think physical age is the issue with Sagula, but rather, his seriously old school mentality.

I don't think physical age is the issue with Sagula, but rather, his seriously old school mentality. What does "old school mentality" mean? Old school in terms of his view of the relationship of coach and player. I'm not suggesting he is abusive (I have no reason to believe that), and he's articulate enough to present himself well, but players might perceive him as overly or unnecessarily tough, rigid and set in his ways.
