I know it might be a stretch to move people over from the Hawaii 2018 thread to this one to discuss recruiting, but I just felt it didn't make sense to clog up that thread with recruiting news for upcoming classes. Please help start momentum to this thread on Hawaii Recruiting by discussing things here!
It's truly exciting times again on the recruiting front.

To start things off, gonna move the last recruiting message from that thread here. Have at it! Would be surprised if Sibley is on the team next year. If Wagoner’s ball control is top notch maybe the coaches will try her at libero or ds if she doesn’t beat out the other pins for a starting spot. That might be her future position In the pro ranks. I thought I read somwhere the the reason Riley chose UH because UH would allow her to play outside hitter. If she was going to play libero, she had other offers closer to home. There seems to be quite a few short OHs who are very productive so I think Riley can be a decent OH for us. She will be counted on for passing, digging and occasional kills so she won’t have to carry the team. Let Westerberg, Akana and Hammah to the heavy lifting.

Poster mentioned she's in the 2020 class, a junior? I haven't been keeping up with the Hawaii Girls High school volleyball season. But I have Spectrum so I'll probably go back & watch some matches

TheNatural said the European outside was a 6'2 OH from Sweden class of 2019, named Hanna (specifically that spelling, which is quite unique). Hellvig hits all those marks. It would be a crazy coincidence for another person to have all those traits. I'd say it's a sure bet.

Mom is former Wahine Joselyn Robins and dad is former basketball player and Kahuku basketball coach Brandon Akana. The Robins family is a well-known volleyball family in the islands and the Akana family is a well-known athletic family in the islands
