On paper, these two classes seem so exciting, I just want this season to end just so we can fast forward to next season.

On paper, these two classes seem so exciting, I just want this season to end just so we can fast forward to next season. No. But yes. Haha... One thing I will say. This is the first season I've had mp expectations for the team. Most years I've been crushed when they didn't win a national championship up until Taylor and Mitchem's senior year. It was such a bummer when Taylor went down. But this year? I'm just enjoying the ride and all the mess that is their play. It's actually enjoyable to some degree because I'm not stressed out about whether or not they can win a title. With that said, yes, next year the team is on a definite upswing with this freshman class. Reminds me of the Willoughby/Gustin/Duggins/Eckmier/Villaroman class of 2000.

I remember the great match with Washington when I believe Hartong actually swung for match point. What a heartbreaker! I still feel this year’s team has much to offer, tho. Like you, not too stressed about it. I really look forward to seeing these next two recruiting classes and the more recruits and transfers that may be coming this way.

As much as I'm excited about the next two classes, I have to always remember that hype may not match reality. I remember back around 2009 or so when an incoming class of the following were announced:
Michelle Waber Kaela Goodman Mita Uiato Emily Hartong
It was one of the tallest recruiting classes ever and reason to be excited. Of course, once we saw them play (Uiato would be a year later because Dani Mafua was still the setter), we knew who had the goods and who didn't. Only Uiato (decent) and Hartong (phenomenal) came through. Kristina Tuaniga was also there, having redshirted the year before, but over the course of her five years, she barely saw court time.
My point is that I have to frequently temper my excitement by the very real possibility that, often, recruits won't meet my expectations.

a video of kamehameha and b. akana at the durango classic.
the clips of her hitting show how explosive of a player she is. her slide is probably the weakest offensive weapon she has so i’m curious to see where she’ll fit in next year - middle, outside or opposite?
in this video they’re playing against mercy high school and their opposite phenom jess mzurik who is probably one of the best in the 2020 class. akana stuffed her straight down at one point.

Kamehameha won this match 2-0, 25-18, 26-24, to advance to the Championship Division...Mruzik is a stud though. She hammers....

If this "Hanna" is the one coming in, I think that answered one of my question of..."Can she pass?". I was concerned with all those players coming in and only Riley Wagoner seems to be the only one whom I saw pass in their highlights. Now that I seen Hanna play, I think she will help solidify our passing. Akana moving to outside hitter would be a hard move since she is not passing in her high school games. OPP would be the better move for her. Trinity never passed in high school and that could be one reason why she is not playing that much now.
Passing seems to be a skill that is hard to teach. Look at players like Granato and Castillo. Played for 4 years and still have trouble passing. Finding a girl that can pass will make it easier develop. One less skill to work on.

The one girl that we seem to overlook, who seems to be able to pass, is that girl from Canada. From her video she looks like a very capable passer. That is saying something in that she is a MB. I do not know to many MB's that can pass. To me, she could actually play all the way around. What I did not see in her videos is whether she can be a back row attacker.

Some of you, not all of you, but def. some have really no clue postulating the way that you do; VB may not be some of this gang of Brooklyn mobsters thang. I speak the truth in love. '-)
The '16 Hi. Gatorade POY, she's due up in the PNW this very weekend. The heat is on, the Utes very likely go 0-2 in Washington state. She's now a Jr.
Choy may want to trx back home for her senior year. It would be smart to do so rather than live the rest of her life in Salt Lake under snow cover. UH has a great business school. lol She'd continue her successes from her So. year running a 6-2. I'd if Robyn allow Norene this 2019 season of BVB.
