Do they really think that deleting his entire existence from their social and web pages means he doesn't exist? I'm trying to understand what would warrant such actions and everything that keep popping in my head is some severe type of crap. It may also be a matter of them wanting to save face ineffectively. Having a HC leave less than a semester in is an awful look for all involved.

I believe the Assistant Coach only has 1 year of full-time college coaching experience.

I don’t know, but if I were in their shoes I’d probably: 1) Reach out to finalists not hired the first time 2) Consult any coaches, AD’s etc... that may have a recommendation for an interim or permanent possibility 3) Allow the AC to have it on an interim basis Not ideal, but it’s the situation they’re in. They could open up a national search, but I would imagine their options would be extremely limited and they would be better off punting to next year.

Because they just don't care.

It already the beginning g of July, by the time you get resumes, schedule interviews, make a hire, it will be just days before the start of the season. Plus there are probably many qualified, interested coaches who don’t want to leave their existing f program this late in the game. And I’m sure they don’t want to get burned again, going down the road and being rejected. Of course, they may not care too.

I do not know the current assistant coach, but considering that she has never been a head coach and has only been an assistant coach for a couple of months, if hired, I would have to agree that they just don't care.
