From 1-3 to 3-1, great comeback for Novara. I think Imoco is not in their best mode though. Egnou is just unbelievably amazing. Hill was quite bad today and I think they were doing better with Easy.

Plak has a knee injury during practice, but I don't know when she will be in the right form to back on court. She is back with the team today, the injury was not too serious but she still needs some time to recover

Last year I heard that Imoco's manager (I don't know how to properly call the boss) flew to Kansas city to watch the NCAA final four, after that he signed Lee to replace injured Easy. Obviously Lee cannot fill the gap. Idk if he will try again signing an NCAA graduate this year. I am day-dreaming that he would sign Foecke this time lol, at least her passing is much more stable than Lee and she can also hit hard. Actually Imoco as a club has been fond of NCAA graduates in recent years. In 2015 they signed Hancock temporarily as Glass's backup. In the next year they signed a two-year contract with the AVCA NPOY Samantha Bricio, which turned out to be a big success for both the club and also the player. Dozens of American players have played in Imoco: Glass, Robinson, Adams, Fawcett, Easy, Hill, Lee, Hancock. Hope it is to be continued.

That was fun to watch, I signed up for a month. Great investment. If you watch Turkish clubs, any match that's not between the top 3 clubs will be very boring. This is not the case for Italian league, where the middle teams are also very competitive. IMO Italian league has the best women's pro volleyball.

Well I'm sure someone would like to get picked up on one the best teams in the world for their first season. That's great exposure.

But like.....where the hell is the MBH from the VNL?!?!?! I really was hoping she was going to be the "secret weapon" the USANT needed. I was really hoping that her WCH performance was a fluke. Ya'll weren't lying when you said she was equally as off as she was on. COMPLETELY INCONSISTENT. Every match of Novara's I keep thinking that this will be the match she wakes up. As soon as Plak is back up to snuff she needs to be on the floor.
Of the current USNT OH's.....Jordan Larson continues to be the only OH that is starting based on pure talent. Krob is starting for Vankifbank because there is no other option though I think I love her more as an OH than a Lib. Hill was riding the bench behind now injured Megan Easy, and Bartsch is soon to be in the same position when Plak gets better.
I know this is off the thread topic sorry ya'll.....just needed to vent.

I don't see Foecke making a big impact internationally for a few reasons. 1. She is not very fast about the court. 2. She isn't a dynamic attacker (linked to speed). 3. Her ball control is good, but not good enough to make up for her lack of quickness. 4. She tends to be tentative in attack (that whole mentality of avoiding errors instead of being super aggressive). I'm trying to think of one player from NCAA who made a dent internationally who was slow or lacked quickness. I can't think of one. College coaches seem to be successful at turning tall, slower players with powerful shoulders into effective outside hitters. I just don't see any international teams interested in those type of players. I hope I'm wrong.

Natalia has gotten quicker, but has always also been a bit slower. Mitchem is slower (playing in Italy). And re: Foecke, I disagree that she is tentative - I actually think she rips it too often out-of-bounds. I think she lacks shot selection (you can spot her tips from a mile away) and agree that she is a bit slow in general, but any slowness in the front row should be the least of our concerns. Honestly, of current NCAA players, she's showing the most potential at OH to transition to the international scene. Lanier and Edmond are great, but they have backrow issues. Plummer will probably move to OPP. As an OH1 who we should optimistically hope can hold up in passing rotations, even if she is a bit slower, USA would be stupid not to realize they may need to alter their "USA FAST" offense for a player like Foecke. Not to say that I think there is 100% chance she will transition seamlessly. But we should keep our eye on her. Another side note: two players I think could make an impact on the NT way way into the future are Stumler and Rollins. Dem girls are showing SERIOUS OH2 potential.

I don't see Foecke coming here to Italy soon. Every player has her own time of development. And being playing pro is very different than college volleyball. I see her going to Germany first, where she can have the time she needs to improve her skills and athletically. She would fit perfectly the elite german teams. Like Perry first and Bartsch then. McKenzie Adams came back to volleyball out of a season of inactivity and look at her now: she's doing better than most of the USA NT OHs.
