Carlini's connection with Veljkovic is so enjoyable to watch today. Go Carlini!

21-19 in the 5th set and Novara is in the final! I still don't understand why Carlini didn't set to Egonu at 14-13,that could have changed the result, but well,it didn't. I believe Conegliano will win eventually

How cool is it that the worst setter in the history of ze world just set her team to the finals of both the toughest league in the world and the CEV. She must be so bad she’s good. (yessssss, I knowwww, the middles only got 1 set each the entire match. shutttt uppppp). For real though, what a cool experience for her. Do you think that match will wind up on YouTube? 👀

I'm not satisfied with Scandicci this season, they spent a lot of money, they even signed Kosheleva for the play-offs but still it wasn't enough to achieve anything remarkable. IMO, Mitchem should've played more instead of Vasileva, who played really poor during the whole season and I believe that Adenizia past her prime, she could barely get a kill in these matches against Novara.

Who else is chemik going to sign? There were rumors about Plak as well. I would sign her as opposite, she's powerful but her passing sucks. According to the stats, she's the worst receiver of the league but I didn't even need to look at the stats honestly

Imoco vs Novara round #1 of a best of 5 playoff for the Italian Scudetto (league championship)
Wednesday 9am PST
This is the beginning of what should be a monumental series of matches culminating in the Berlin CL championship. It is the ultimate superstar based team against the balanced superstarless team or in other words its a metaphor for the USNT versus China, Italy, or Serbia but without the leg anchor of Karch Kiraly. Novara won round #1 with with a early season win of the Italian Cup (mid season cup) in a thrilling five setter in which Carlini was pulled late and her sub led Novara to a come from behind win. Imoco won round #2 by winning first in the final league standings. Now we are to round #3 with the Scudetto Cup followed by round #4 the CL championship.
The much maligned Carlini will be dueling with the consensus #1 setter Woloz and as a side note Hill will be battling Bartsch, who last season replaced her at OH on the USNT. Egonu has risen to replace Bosko as the #1 OP but Fabris can still have a brilliant match. All the pieces for fabulous play are in place and it's time for players to burnish their crunch time credentials. Hill's 27 point MVP play led Imoco in their comeback upset against Larson/KYK10 over ECZ. Can she deliver again? Let the play begin.

So excited for the match today! Let’s go Conegliano!! As many matches do, it could all come down to passing. Will Sylla be able to hold up? If the passing is good, I’d favor Imoco because I think they have better middles and a good pass allows Wolosz to be creative. But they definitely still need Fabris/Lowe to make an impact because you know Egonu will at some point.
