I was at NLQ this weekend - LOTS of college coaches watching the MN Select 16-1s, including Kelly Sheffield yesterday and today. I’m not in it enough to know who is after Hoecke or where she’d like to go, but of course want MN to get her over Wisconsin. Was pretty awesome to watch this Select team win and secure their bid and get to the championship game this morning. Was K Cook there? I know they are targeting a couple players on that roster Looks like the gopher coaches traded days - saw Pedro day 1, Chrissy and Keegan day 2, and Kristen yesterday. Reyes and Sheffield also watched Select quite a bit and saw Mizzou and Stanford watching a lot as well. TAV's middle was strong, and Houston Jr's tall opposite lefty both seemed to get a lot of attention too (from both the gopher coaches and others). Great talent in this class

Great talent in this class This will be a huge test for K Cook to keep these highly recruited players home. Especially competing with teams like Stanford, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Will be interesting come June/July!

Nebraska and Maryland also had their assistant coaches there earlier in the weekend amongst a few other high major schools that haven’t been previously mentioned.

You’re good about finding these and sharing with us. Thanks! I love how often Gilk passes as an opposite! In this match, all the way across the back row plus in rotation 3 before going back to serve. In another match you shared a while back, she was only passing in rotation 1 before swinging on the left pin, so might depend on the opponent or what outside duo MN Select is putting on the court? Either way, I like seeing that she’s definitely getting passing reps. We love a complete volleyball skill set!

I've been able to watch Gilk quite a bit...she is a primary passer on that team, playing all the way across the back row. She is really improving in all areas of her game.

Deboer has a bright future and would love for her to stay in MN when she graduates, but watching this, I really hope Hoecke decides to play for the U 😭

She's a solid passer and pretty solid as a 6ro player in general, kind of fun to see an Opp who can take on a primary passing role. Obviously she's young and needs more coaching but she has a lot of potential - smart player, athletic and reads the court really well. I think we're going to have a lot of fun watching her at Minnesota!

Young and need more coaching but both have the potential to shine in the B1G a few years in.

Jordan Taylor’s HJV 17 Elite and Kelly Kinney’s Tribe 17 Elite Cardinal both finished 5th at Windy City National Qualifier this weekend. Couldn’t find anything on YouTube.

Full disclosure - this is not good volleyball lol NL must be short handed so Garr (#5 far side) is playing OH and it's obviously not her position 😂 but wanted to post anyways because you can still get a good sample of SR and defense
