It will be the semi-finals the time you visit Beijing. I haven't seen a schedule yet but when there is I can translate it into English for you You are Chinese? Some Chinese translation would help a lot. I know some Japanese and Chinese, but far from fluent. Yeah, I am Chinese. I live in Canada and my family is still in China. Would love to help translate some Chinese if needed here.

So do you consider yourself from the North or South? Ehh, this is going off-topic. But I'll answer. I don't make this distinction myself. I think I am mixed. Because of the location of the town where I grew up, we're affected by both the south and the north. I went to college in a southern city for four years though. But since now I live in Canada, the climate definitely resembles the north.

2019 Chinese NT First Training Wide Roster
Outside Hitter: Zhu Ting, Zhang Changning, Li Yingying, Liu Xiaotong, Duan Fang, Liu Yanhan, Zhang Yichan Opposite: Gong Xiangyu, Zeng Chunlei, Wu Han, Du Qingqing Middle Blocker: Yan Ni, Yuan Xinyue, Yang Hanyu, Hu Mingyuan, Wang Yuanyuan, Zheng Yixen, Gao Yi Setter: Ding Xia, Yao Di, Diao Linyu, Sun Haiping, Cai Yaqian Libero: Wang Mengjie, Lin Li, Meng Zixuan, Ni Feifan
Obviously Zhu Ting as well as other players participating in the semifinals followed by the finals won't join until later. New faces this year, Du Qingqing + Cai Yaqian (Shandong) and Ni Feifan (Jiangsu). Plagued by injuries seems like Rio gold medalist Yang Fangxu won't be able to return to the NT. Training begins on February 10.

I would never guess you are Chinese as even on insidevolleycountry you only talk about the Americans and I have never seen you talk about any Chinese player or provide any insights in the Chinese League.

I haven't seen the exact time though. 3 teams have foreign aids, while Jiangsu is the only one with an all domestic roster. Let's so how the battle of the American players goes, Dixon and Kingdon (Beijing) vs Murphy (Shanghai). The two times they faced each other this past second stage it ended with Beijing winning it 3-2.

My guess is that it will be another Tianjin vs Shanghai final, kinda boring to be honest, since both teams already have the most championship trophies between them in the league (and goes to show the Chinese league in a somewhat unflattering light, since it reflects how unbalanced and uncompetitive it is if it is dominated by always the same few teams winning the championship). It would be nice if Jiangsu or Beijing wins, and I root for Jiangsu in particular, since they climbed back into contention after suffering from a bout of losses earlier in the season and I'm glad they overcame that struggle. But I have to be realistic, the odds favor Tianjin or Shanghai.

Or are we talking about even smaller (not that Wuhan is small).

Karsta Lowe is playing in Italy. I just watched her team that also includes Kim Hill play Mica Hancock and Rachel Adam's team last night on FloVolleyball.

So the NT members whose teams did not make it to final four will be chased after by some of the four clubs competing in the semis. The transfers haven't been publicly announced yet, except for Tianjin. A Middle from Fujian (Zheng Yixin) and an Opposite from Shandong (Du Qingqing) will join the team tomorrow.
