With Denver’s SOS, there is no doubt they would have a record of 27-2. Colorado or K-State would have gotten a 29-0. Hawaii, with its inconsistencies this season, would have probably had the same or worse record than Denver’s. K-state lost at home to the same Texas Tech team that Long Beach st. & Ucsb defeated. You're giving K-state too much credit. LOL Not sure K State would beat Utah and Saint Mary’s

Quote from one bubble coach: “But we know that our season is more than any one game, and we believe our 27-2 record and our multiple national statistical standings speak volumes. We belong in the NCAA tournament. The ball is in the committee's hands, and we hope they respect and acknowledge the mid-majors as much as they do the other conferences“ - Tom Hogan, Denver Head Coach after loss to South Dakota: Hogan has my vote 😍

n00b I’m in agreeance that it’s disappointing how these teams with gaudy records schedule, but why on earth do you reward a team simply for scheduling? High Point didn’t beat anyone. I don’t see why High Point last year is better than Denver this year. High Point didn’t beat anybody and had much more chances than Denver. Denver had two chances this year — and beat one of them (St. Mary’s) while losing to Utah. Rewarding High Point for beating nobody while leaving Maryland out (who beat T25 teams Purdue and USC) was just such a huge error. North Texas was worse off last year than Denver because they had a worse RPI. Denver is in slight better RPI position. Because in a macro sense, the committee should be encouraging teams to schedule tough. Power 5s want to play teams like Denver and High Point for their nearly perfect conference records, so you need an incentive for those schools to play top 25 opponents. Otherwise, there will be no competition between those levels and picking at large bids between the two becomes even more muddled. It's the same reason why the volleyball RPI has a scheduling bonus which only applies to non-conference matches.

Utah sweeps Usc making Utah a lock & pulling Denver's RPI to 40 to get them an at-large too.

the WCC four: St. Mary's, LMU, Pepp, & San Diego the WCC is the bubble, lol not sure I buy St. Mary's resume as all that impressive LMU beating BYU is really the fly in the ointment Yes but the big question is, CAN San Diego, jump Saint Mary’s? Saint Mary’s beat USD twice — and has a better RPI. SMC/Denver is bringing back flashbacks of LSU/High Point. LSU had 1T50 win (High Point) while High Point had 0 T50 wins. I had them both out. Denver only has 1 T50 win (Saint Mary’s). Saint Mary’s has just 1 T50 win if USD finishes 51+. Real tough scenarios

Real tough scenarios and then LMU lost to San Diego twice how one treats LMU - San Diego- St. Mary's is horrific is the answer just to discard LMU's BYU win as a fluke? lol imagine the only team to beat BYU who beat the overall #1 seed being left out you can justify San Diego on their overall SOS I guess

Like the commentators said on their match against Colorado. They were pretty much in top 25 just because of their reputation.

I think so....does the VT community really not think that a healthy UCLA couldn't beat Illinois State? Duke? all those SEC and WCC not named BYU?

Do any bubble teams have members on the committee? NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball National Committee West Region: Carrie Coll (Chair), SWA, Fresno State; Kelley Hartley Hutton, A.D., Purdue Fort Wayne South Region: Michelle Durban, SWA, Samford University; Jenny McGhee, associate commissioner, Southland Conference; John McCammon, associate A.D., Western Kentucky Southeast Region: T.J. Meagher, associate A.D., Houston East Region: Sherene Brantley, SWA, Duquesne; Vanessa Fuchs, SWA, Florida State Midwest Region: Karin Lee, SWA, Ball State; Janine Oman, SWA, Ohio State Nope. The Summit League is represented, so that probably helps Denver a bit. ACC and Big Ten also has representation.
