Here Sealy goes again............ Thompson is great. I really love her game. She can run a quick tempo offense. I just don’t see why Sealy cannot recruit a long term setter. I think Cali really helps UCLA next year. Great move for her!

Thompson is a really good fit for Sealy. Not too flashy, keeps it simple, and can locate that quick shoot to the left really well from anywhere.

Someone mentioned that 3-year starting setter, Cali Thompson, is no longer on the University of Portland roster. Sealy loves wcc setters. Surprised it took so long to announce it.

Cali only have one year left to play so this is only a short term fix for UCLA. I’m always weary about one year setters because they don’t really have the time jell with the team. They’re only there for a few months then when things start to click, their eligibility is gone.

I thought Devon Chang was perfectly capable, I really bought she was good lol. UCLAs problem is their defense and passing. May is consistently aced in serve receive. With muni now gone I think they will be in trouble. She was a good consistent player to have on the floor because she has played so many positions and has so much insight into the game. They need hitter transfers honestly, not setter. Moser is just not good, rogers wasn’t good either. And they changed right sides about every other match. If simo plays libero I might burst out laughing.

Sponcil worked out pretty well for a year... Sponcill is also one of the most complete volleyball players to play at UCLA in a very long tine. Regardless Thompson fills a hole UCLA needed and shes a very capable setter

Wow...what happened to the "done deal"? I guess Lines is NOT the replacement for Hellvig. Uhm - I am going to put this out there (here, instead of the UH thread). I have been watching this Lines "thing" with a ton of bemusement. As I recall, this "done deal" was SOLELY some bored, inaccurate Hawai'i fanatic's speculation(!); it morphed into a 'near-certainty' Without Any substantiation. Some were even saying she should not move here just yet: would be too-fast, too-soon. Lmao! I follow UH because I live here. Most of my "PM guys" aren't Na Wahine fans. They kinda feel UH fans are laughingstocks.
