Why is it interesting that she chose Wisconsin over the other schools? Do you think that Wisconsin is not as top of a program or is it because of players they already have? Because I consider Wisconsin a top 5 program. I think it is interesting she is going to Wisco because 1) Minny has beaten Wisco every match Barnes has played against them 2) I would think she would go to washington or another school that would use her as a libero right away Barnes is good, but if she becomes libero at Wisco she still is not going to better than her counterpart CC I think it's suggestive that playing time and the libero jersey aren't the reasons for her choice. Minnesota's wiped the floor with Wisconsin for years, finished above us in conference consistently since 2014, and won two championships since Wisconsin's last one. At Wisconsin, Barnes has to compete with 2 experienced senior DSs who've played every match they've been healthy. With this transfer, she risks sitting a year and worse, risks losing a year of eligibility. She's still paying out-of-state tuition. She clearly has already lost friends and fans over this. And yet she's doing it anyway. From all that, I'd infer that her motivations aren't volleyball-related.

I would if Barnes was better than CC than she would have been libero all season at Minny? What I'v seen CC is definitely a better libero than Barnes at this point.

Just because she may not have been better than CC in the past doesn’t mean she can’t be better in the future

A BIG name "exploring her options" as of this morning. She was previously mentioned in this thread as not appearing on a roster, and as a key departure in that conference's 2019 thread. Assuming it’s Burse. She’s the only one I can think of not on her teams roster that’s been mentioned. I’m sure a lot of schools will be interested in her

I would honestly say with the people on vt and people iv talked to, it is 50-50 on who is better between CC and Barns. Also whose to say that Barns won't improve. With your statement your not accounting for the 2 more years she has to get better.

I would never play the "I know something you don't know" game. If I know something, I'll just blurt it out, consequences be damned. The good news for the world is that I don't really know anything so I have nothing to blurt out.

Kansas only has 9 girls listed on their roster.
