Orie is a puzzle, for sure. Though, I don't know why she would transfer her senior season if she hasn't already. She seems jazzed up and ready to play whenever she is put in, and you can get a world class education at Texas. If she does decide to transfer, I wish her the best and would thank her for three years of being a Rudy--making the team as a whole stronger. Orie and Blair are really really close and she seems to have been kind of adopted by the Westerlund family, so I don’t see her leaving. If true, then we shouldn't have depth problem on the pins. And Molly would back up Brionne & Asjia at MB. I think Orie looks most comfortable hitting on the left pin. She played really well in the WVU match when she started in the 3rd set. I'm sure Logan will get some practice time on the right pin this off-season since she hits really well from that side. It'd be interesting to see if they'd move Logan to the RS as a 6 rotation-passing Opp and then have Micaya & Skylar/Orie as the LS hitters with a DS coming in for the latter in the back row. I guess it really depends on Logan's right pin blocking --- I really thought she made great strides with her blocking towards the end of the season.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Coach Elliott tried Logan on the right. She looked so natural there and sided out at a very high level in that rotation. We all know how much he loves his stats.
I think it’ll come down to can Skylar contribute on the left at a high level, and can whomever the setter is get the ball to the right pin to give Logan enough looks if she ends up there.
As for Agbaji, she’s got a big girl decision to make. I think the sell to stay is pretty easy, as 2/3rds of our pinnhitters next year will be underclassmen- theoretically if Logan has a sophomore slump, or if Skylar has Freshman moments, Orie could be called on to contribute more than she got to this year. Who knows. Maybe she’d rather move on to a program where she can start right away and try for a Pilar Victoria type senior campaign. Everyone does college sports for their own reasons.

We’ve been down the speculation road before and we all know Elliot is doing to ds the OPP and the other OH. What a shame Texas doesn’t develop 6 rotation players

Sha'Dare McNeil was a great 6-rotation Opposite for us. Amy Neal was developed into a very good 6-rotation OH, as has Micaya White.
Each season brings different personnel with different skills.

Texas just needs to get it's middle offence going. They bypassed Butler too many times. Once Butler starts scoring points and having a little fun, her already good blocking will become dominant.

This was very apparent last night. There were so many passes that I feel like Gabriel could've set Butler for a quick/easy kill out of the middle. They need to bring in a transfer setter ASAP or get Gabriel as many reps as possible. I think Jhenna can definitely get there with Brionne but since this was a mid-season switch, they probably didn't have a lot of 1-on-1 time. If somehow Texas is able to get Mica Allison, I would love love love how that sets us up for next season. I feel like i can objectively say that Hahn/Autumn have improved, if only slightly. I think their defensive play has definitely improved. Obviously the passing could be better but the two of them have had three years of solid experience so I'm hoping they both over perform during their senior seasons. Who knows, Logan could really develop in the offseason as a better passer which would really open up the back row attacking.

Boo I ain’t trolling if it’s the truth. Yes, they developed Neal and McNeil and White. They never put PPC in 6 rotations or YBG for that matter. Yes, she played middle for a season but still.

It's not the truth. You posted a complete lie, and now you are trying to spin it by singling out a couple of players.
Not a single program plays all their pin hitters six rotations.
You have been anti-Texas all season; so, don't come here acting like a wolf in sheep's clothing and pretending to offer any concern or advice. We know your type.

Texas, you want to win?? Get rid of your resting bitch face head coach. Elliot can't seem to win with all the endless amount of talent and resources UT gives him. Overpaid! He's moody, he's predictable and just can't win the big ones.
You want to win?? Get a true winner at the top, not someone who gives up when he's outcoached/outmatched. Or give Eric a chance.
With all the talent that's run through Austin, they should have numerous National Championship banners hanging in that hall.

I do think our main priority in the off-season is a setter (Allison or Miller?). And with Luketic gone, we’ll have an open scholarship.
If we do end up having a transfer or two (for the record I really hope we don’t - I thought the chemistry of this team was great this year) I wonder if we would look for another pin hitter or another DS. It would be nice if Botkin got homesick and wanted to transfer back! Any other possible transfers you think Texas would be interested in?
