After the Stanford beatdown of BYU, the question has to be asked: How did Texas allow themselves to be swept by BYU???

In fact all season they’ve made dumb mistakes, so hopefully they can take the off season to focused and less mistake-prone for next season.

BYU definitely got a lift from their home crowd that wasn’t there tonight, especially when the sets got into the 20s. Texas wasn’t clutch in each set the way BYU was. Part of me wonders what the outcome might have been if we’d gotten to play in Gregory, but shoulda coulda wouldas.
Agree with using the off season to build focus, but I think just as important is the coaching staff setting more quality matches in the off season, and maybe a couple of late season out of conference match ups like we used to play back in the day.

Stanford repeatedly broke down BYU's serve receive while Texas did not. Additionally Stanford always had a huge block compared to Texas with Gabriel front row.

Lol at how ya’ll always blame that one shorter net player for a loss but never the bad defense or terrible coaching.

The Texas defense is definitely an area that needs to improve. We've always had a really strong front row, but our back row is what fells us. In that BYU match, we dominated the net, outblocking them by a wide margin, but anything that got past the block was down for a point. Didn't Mary Lake darn near out dig Texas as a team?
I do think the serve receive was improved this year, but the rest of the floor defense needs to catch up. Watching Hentz in that match last night, she was digging everything. Granted she's an amazing L and I'm not expecting that, but someone at least closer to that compared to where we are now.

How 'bout you STFU as no one gives a flip about your biased comments?
But, thanks for obsessing over our program time and time again.

Some of these Stanford fans are getting a little overconfident! Stay humble folks.

Your first opportunity to contribute something of substance to the Texas Recruiting Thread, and you pull this stunt?

Right about the 'blame the short guy UT fans' … they forgot we beat Nebraska in a Regional, in Lincoln, with Collins back in 14'.
