BYU will find out how BIG a loss Miller is, when they face a revenge minded, hungry Stanford team. To me, Plummer and Jones-Perry are a wash. Stanford has the advantage at the Middle position, Setter, and Libero positions. If BYU had Miller, they would have the advantage at the OH position. But now it comes down to which teams OH/OPP hitters performs the best. Since I gave the advantage to Stanford at the Middle, Setter, and Libero positions, I say Stanford in 3, or 4 sets. If Miller were healthy, this match would have been a toss-up.

Middles....Gneiting is actually pretty fantastic hitting and blocking. I see BYU coming out on top of this one. But then you'll never know. Both teams are eyeing the big prize. But for sure, the winner of this semifinal match, like someone had mentioned earlier will win it all!

All four teams have something notable in common that nobody has mentioned. If you figure out what it is, do not write about it. You'll be scolded. I sure as Hell won't bring it up. They all turned down the USC job.

I definitely think this match has what it takes to be the national championship match. If BYU matches their play against Texas and Stanford plays how they did in the final three sets against Penn State this could be a very physical and entertaining match.
On the other hand if Stanford plays like set one against PSU and even like they did against Washington State, they could be in trouble. BYU looks like they have something to prove and like they really want it and they are playing with a lot of intensity. BYU actually surprised me last night with how physical their outsides can be, Ronni Jones-Perry and even Robinson and some big kills. I really like BYU's freshman middle as she did some damage to Texas last night as well.
BYU and Stanford both have amazing liberos and I think that will add to the excitement of this match.
I just feel this match might come down to whichever team can sustain the highest offensive output. As we saw last night Penn State was firing on all cylinders in the first set against Stanford, but they just could not maintain that high hitting efficiency while Stanford raised their game.
Overall I think this will be a great match and the unofficial "championship" match due to the level that these two teams are capable of playing at.

I also felt Texas’ middles were better than ours!

But being that the first match was so very close, and now with BYU not having Miller, I am leaning toward Stanford. I do agree, the winner of this one, would be the favorite to win the National Championship.

I will take Stanford in this rematch. I saw what a big block can do to BYU. Stanford has an even bigger block than Texas and playa great defense. Plus this is the final four. Stanford has payback in there minds. Cards in 4 BYU beat those big block teams, so not sure what you mean. Yes, I think payback is a factor in this match, for sure. I’m hoping for a great match. And I think it will be.
