Raskie, Oregon. I assume you didn't watch their match against Minnesota. I have, they played Hawaii as well, but not as offensive as LHE. The way Haddock Eppich dumps the ball...well lets just say it is Epic!!!

Lets just say that Raskie and LHE are probably the two most offensive-minded setters in D-1.

I watched the Stanford-Penn State match on television. Kathryn Plummer was fantastic as usual. The one thing that I frequently noticed when there was a close-up of Plummer was how hard she was breathing. I wonder if this is a usual circumstance for Plummer throughout the year? Is Stanford's conditioning program up to snuff with other top programs?

Is there a full length video of the early August match between BYU and Stanford in the BYU Marriott Tournament either on Youtube or somewhere else?

Thanks Cruz'n. I'm a Stanford Cardinal fan in the Sun Devil country area.

I can't tell if you are seriously asking or being sarcastic cause this is literally a topic of discussion in every Stanford match thread. The common theme now is "Plummer looks gassed" and it has turned into a running joke. One poster Cruz'n I think suggested she may have a respiratory problem but this is all just speculation. It doesn't seem to ever hinder her performance. She may have activity induced asthma but we really don't know. I often think maybe she gets winded cause she is simply the only player of her size asked to do as much on any team in the country. She is 6'6 plays six rotations take the most reps on the team blocks, digs and does it all. We don't usually see players of her height playing as big a role in the NCAA's but I could be wrong.

Re asthma: I doubt it. I’m not sure of rules re when/where you can use albuterol, but I watch Stanford a lot and have been to a few matches, and I’ve never seen her use it on the court at least. If she actually had EIA, I think that would be odd. I think her hard breathing is evidence of her intensity.

Huge fan of Plummer here and quite new to this forum. But I have read somewhere that Plummer might be suffering from asthma. And this may be unrelated to the topic but it's been in my head for quite some time now. Can KP be taking clenbuterol? It's a kind of steroid used for patients suffering from asthma. Clen has other side effects though in that it can improve muscle tone and athleticism (as most steroids do). In fact, Myriam Sylla of Italy has been suspended by FIvb because she tested positive on clen during an antidoping test. But if KP is using this for her condition, then I guess it should not be an issue but I can't help but think this is also a factor in her dominance?

Let's drop the KP health speculations... because now we have people questioning if she isn't juiced up.
