I feel much better now about PSU's performance against Stanford.

Imagine Hentz re-watching this match, being proud of her play, and listening to Karch. Is that someone you'd want to play for ..... I love Hentz but she needs work her second contact and serve receive. We have seen a lot of great collegiate liberos not really pan out internationally or flourish for the national team but I do want her to get a shot.

Looks like Nell went shopping at Dollar General for her Christmas necklace and ring!

It's a good thing BYU still has a relatively young roster.
Stanford has another gear that they kick into when they want too. I don't think anyone in the country can keep up with them.
L M A O .... Just you wait.
People talk about Hentz, but she is benefiting big time from the Stanford block, which can be devastating.

Anyone notice that by the end of the match there was a lot of empty seats. Thinking the BYU fans, what there were of them, left the arena after the 2nd set. Talk about loyalty, not loyalty at all, once the leave the friendly confines of Provo. Maybe it was all the Big10 fans deciding to go buy dinner and hit the restroom before their big event.

This match was terrible for the sport tonight. All this national attention and BYU gags. Reminds me of the year Nebraska got waxed by Texas in a similar fashion a Few years back.

Still kind of irked by Karch's comment about the "mayor" of Hentz-ville. I mean, would it have hurt to have said something complimentary? Does he just hate to respond positively to ideas/comments that he doesn't initiate? I haven't listened to much of his commentary about Stanford in previous games because I usually go to them live. Is he down on Hentz or what? Karch's evaluation of Hentz as a libero shows his inability to appropriately evaluate talent for the National team. Period. Nope. He's right about her movement on the court, but she's just a kid. I had to learn to watch the happy feet when I played, and I only can dream about playing D the way she does. BTW, it's misleading to look at her few shanks and other less than terrific passes and conclude that she isn't a good enough passer to play libero at higher levels. Most of the season, she was nails, delivering quick, accurate passes that made the offense go.

Especially since this was the opening match. People probably turned off the TV with how boring the game was! Not complaining about the Stanford sweep though

Hentz is like Brenda Castillo. You just don't come for her. PERIODT
Here's how Karch could have answered:
"Best of all-time at that position? Well, there's been some great liberos to come out of the NCAA, and you can definitely put her in that category as one of the best. She's still got another season left after this, and I think she could work on X and X, however"

That was bad kind of mirrors this in some ways that many said Nebraska was the best team all year as did BYU this season and they both laid eggs.
