Huge fan of Plummer here and quite new to this forum. But I have read somewhere that Plummer might be suffering from asthma. And this may be unrelated to the topic but it's been in my head for quite some time now. Can KP be taking clenbuterol? It's a kind of steroid used for patients suffering from asthma. Clen has other side effects though in that it can improve muscle tone and athleticism (as most steroids do). In fact, Myriam Sylla of Italy has been suspended by FIvb because she tested positive on clen during an antidoping test. But if KP is using this for her condition, then I guess it should not be an issue but I can't help but think this is also a factor in her dominance? Clenbutrol is illegal in the USA so there is no reason to think that Plummer is any more likely to take it than any other athlete. I doubt that she's going to jeopardize her eligibility over a drug. She trains hard for both indoor and beach and plays internationally for beach.

Suggesting an athlete is using an illegal substance, without any supporting evidence?? That is a low blow.

sorry. That sounded really really bad and it was never my intention to cause intrigue but just merely voicing out some (idiotic) thoughts in my head. I agree, it's not fair to her or anyone.

In no way were you saying or suggesting USE. Good lord Cruz'n, comprehend much?

What if I asked "Could Foecke be taking [some illegal drug that may help performance]?" without any reason to think that she was or evidence that she was? I could ask the same thing about any athlete. It's a horrible question to raise unless you have good reason to think that it has happened.

Not only is clenbuterol not a steroid, it’s also highly inappropriate for you to suspect drug use in a young college athlete. I don’t care how huge a fan you are.

To think that a college player might be using steroids is downright idiotic. Just so wrong in many levels. Whatever is happening to volleytalk?

My personal impression is that Plummer is thoughtful between points, not sad or tired or drugged or indifferent.

Stanford at 84-39 advantage right now in the VT Poll. A 68% advantage to 32% BYU.

Time for Stanford to prove their worth right back where they set out to be in the Final Four anyone with half a brain can predict Stanford would be here as they should be again next season. All the main pieces back that were here last season but they dug themselves too deep a hole and Florida was a good team. I remember Stanford post match presser and Plummer was very sad she let herself down and her team. She knows she is the face of Stanford volleyball. Many think this Stanford squad would be undefeated and probably number 1 most of the season hadn’t BYU won a close one in Provo, but BYU has proven to be an elite team in their own right. Is it a revenge match, in some ways yes. Weird to think had an injury less BYU team not lost one in conference these teams may have been on opposite sides of the bracket yet here we are.
I think this has the makings of a classic the only result that would surprise me would be a sweep by one team either way. I think it’s a draw at so many key positions OH1=Plummer/Jones-Perry, Setter=Gray/Haddock-Eppich, Libero=Hentz/Lake.
My prediction Stanford 3-1. I just hope this match is as entertaining and played at as high of a level as the match of the tourney Oregon/Minnesota or a close second being Texas/BYU.

Added team stats and team leaders as well as season results to OP.
BYU did not have available conference only stats.

I to have issue insinuating someone may have a competitive advantage excuse cause they are that great. I guess when your the best there’s always gonna be people trying to knock you down. It’s the world we live in. I think Plummer is just that good cause she naturallly gifted. I don’t think anything else had to do with it. Haters at their best. Medical stuff is personal in I don’t really think has place on boards. In that case why don’t we dig into every players personal life and I’m sure u will find plenty of players that take different things for different issues. If it’s those meds are not against ncaa rules then there’s no reason to bring it up.
