I don't see king beinf an AA honestly. I think Gregory will keep the jersey cause she's done very well in my opinion so far. I think the steadiness of a 5-1 will be very helpful for the gators. Allie and marlie set very different balls last year, and especially when you have the momentum, two new players subbing in can end that. 5-1 will get them a better team chemistry I don't necessarily agree with first sentence, as the whole season needs to be applied to that decision making process. Libero I think will go with experience at first but I don't think it's a lock. Main reason for my "like" was your setting observations. I hope I am correct in agreeing that the continuity will be a stabilizing factor. I'm feeling very positively about this season. GG!

Excited for first matchup against Louisville. It will be a really competitive match that I can see going to 5 sets (although I’m hoping for a sweep or a 3-1 victory!)

Say what you want about Wise, but that woman is loyal AF to her players. There's some behind the scenes things that not everyone hears about. She loyal but sometimes overly hard Loyal? Moscovic would disagree

Going back 15 years is not a bad "loyalty record," if in fact this singular mention is accurate. Not necessarily doubting you, it is just prior to my following the program. When I read her bio with UF it sounded like it was at the very least a decent experience for her. What is the story? Lauren Mocovic's Career at UF

Can't help fantasizing about Holly setting and Haley at opposite. Seems like more weapons and a much more dominant blocking scheme. That being said, I hope Marlie is up to the challenge.

Depending on match ups, Wise may elect to do that if a set didn't go well with Monserez leading the 5-1. Change it up and have Carlton lead the 5-1 next set. Let's say players are equally comfortable with Carlton or Monserez setting. Take a look at the strength of the OH and RS across the net. Then determine if it's more important to have a strong back right defender for 6 rotations (Monserez/DS) or a strong blocker for 6 rotations (Carlton/Warner). I'm thinking about this right, right? lol Warner may be an upgrade over Carlton on the right this year offensively. Defensively however, Carlton's block still has her beat imo if we're choosing between who gets the one RS spot. Carlton was actually our most dynamic offensive option last year until Hall went down and then she got set a bit too much. That's when her numbers dropped off nearly 100 points. Hammons and Hall are playing 6 rotations so a 5-2 is also easily possible with Warner as the RS. L: Cerame, So., 5'8 S: Monserez, So., 6'0 (back row) S: Carlton, R-Jr., 6'7 (front row) RS: Warner, So. 6'2 OH: Hall (6 rotations), So., 6'3 OH: Hammons (6 rotations), Jr., 6'1 MB: Kramer, Sr., 6'8 MB: King, R-Jr., 6'3 DS: Gregory, Sr., 5'6

This is my dream haha. Love the thought of a 6'7 setter and her location seems spot on based on what I saw last year.

I loved Carlton at UNC, but her setting was not her strength especially to the players shorter than her. The trajectory of the ball and tempo were different. Im not saying it was a big reason and def not the only one, but Carlton also didnt feel setting was her main strength anymore and that was a difference between her and the UNC program. Maybe Wise and staff could work on that with her becauss she would be a major threat as a setter.

Since I am she, I thought it would be weird. Why is your hand over your chest/heart? (In that twitter photo.)

This is a very crowded band. The optimum number is four (e.g., Beatles, Go-Go’s). I foresee a break-up.
