So Tom Black took the Canadian Women's NT job. They've got Olympic qualifiers in early August and MID-OCTOBER. No idea how that works with the NCAA schedule.

Wow, isn’t that interesting!
Not sure how I would feel about that as a UGA student athlete or recruit ... unless I were Canadian.

I had no doubt it was possible to do both. It’s just a matter of perception about priorities.

....and finding time to recruit some new talent to get UGA back on upward trend after last season's disaster. A lot of balls in the air!

Saw the US CNT tryouts are scheduled for 3/1-3/3 in Colorado Springs and they have listed out the 215 players currently registered to attend.
There are 21 players from Nine (9) different SEC schools currently registered.
1. Alabama - 1 player 2. Arkansas - 4 players 3. Auburn - 2 players 4. Georgia - 4 players 5. LSU - 2 players 6. Missouri - 3 players 7. Ole Miss - 1 player 8. South Carolina - 3 players 9. Tennessee - 1 player
Not sending any players - Florida, Kentucky, TAMU, Miss St.
I was a bit surprised that Florida (Hall, Kramer, Ceasar, Hammons, etc.), Kentucky (Edmonds, Lilley, Skinner), and TAMU (Hans, Connor) did not look to send any of their top players. Although some of the above listed players made teams last year and traveled during the summer so coaches maybe looking to skip that extra play and be 100% healthy for Fall season.
Libero: 1. Raigen Cianciulli - LSU 2. Kendall Glover - Georgia 3. Isabella Rosanthall - Auburn
Middles: 4. Tyanna Omazic - Missouri 5. Anna Stevenson - Auburn
Opposites: 6. Taylor Bannister - LSU 7. Mikayla Shields - South Carolina
OH: 8. Logan Brown - Arkansas 9. Hailey Dirrigl - Arkansas 10. Mallory Hernandez - Georgia 11. Rachel Ritchie - Georgia 12. Kylie Deberg - Missouri 13. Leketor Member-Meneh - Missouri 14. Emily Stroup - Ole Miss 15. Brittany McLean - South Carolina
Setter: 16. Rachel Rippee - Arkansas 17. Ryan Grace - Arkansas 18. Megan Neelon - Alabama 19. Mary Donovan - Georgia 20. Courtney Koehler - South Carolina 21. Taylor Hammill - Tennessee

I didn't know Taylor Hammill had transferred to Tennessee, and she's not listed on their website. She had transferred from Auburn to Middle Tennessee either one or two years ago, I think.

Few comments: Logan Brown is not on Arkansas’ roster for the 2019-20 season. Not saying she isn’t going to this tryout, but she is exploring transfer options, I believe. It’s Gracie Ryan, not Ryan Grace. Pretty sure it’s Meghan Donovan, not Mary. Will be very interesting to see which players make which rosters. Even w/o UK and UF, some very good athletes in this bunch.

Arkansas replaces JNG with former Sun Devil (player and coach) Macey Gardner. Thoughts on this hire? I absolutely loved watching Macey as a player, but I don’t know much about her as a coach. I do always think it’s a nice sign when a coach can hire one of his former stud players onto the staff, though - positive message to potential recruits.

Rumor is Texas will play TAMU in Austin during regular season and Texas will play a spring game on April 12th in College Station
Only the spring game is confirmed along with Baylor during the spring for TAMU as well

I always liked JNG and I was happy to see that he got a head coaching position. Liked Macey too. Always good to have female assistant that isn't too far removed from collegiate play.

Especially ones who can jump in drills and out play your current team!

Things have been quiet here! Just a note to say how excited I am for Auburn Basketball at the Final Four.
Also, the last few years 4 athletes (1 from each school) have teamed up to sing the National Anthem before the first semi-final game on Saturday. This year, Auburn volleyball player Morgan Kull will be one of the four. Congratulations Morgan, and War Eagle!
