Wasn’t sure where to put this but I saw on Instagram that 2021 Jordyn Williams from TAV committed to Kentucky This really excites me for the future of UK. With Madisen Skinner we just need another great setter after Lilley.

Their 2020 class should be a top 3 class with Skinner and Rutherford being top 20 in the class IMO (Skinner likely top 3). Emma Grome is set to replace Lilley her freshman year. Will be some big shoes to fill for sure!

I am confident that Vandy won't drop a SET this season CALLED IT I bet that they won’t win one, either!!! Such pessimism! It’s the same ole coaches and players, they just need some better scheduling! Come on ‘dores...get your s—t together! Btw, no men’s swimming, men’s T&F or softball either! Not sure how the SEC allows that. My guess is they get away with it because they raise the academic profile.

The following players are missing from the 2018 roster to the roster in 2019 from the TAMU roster that still had eligibility remaining for NCAA volleyball Some have already been discussed but... **Brookah Palmer Kailyn Rogers Maddie Douglas **Sydnye Fields Skylar Scott Sydney Little **starters at end of season Fields is medically retiring. She’s battled through a lot of injuries starting in high school and unfortunately it’s all been too much.

I knew Fields had medically retired and they are expecting the freshman Rush to battle for the RS spot with Davis and whoever does not get the OH2 position

1. Kentucky- The Wildcats should have an extremely successful 2019. Their pre-conference schedule is manageable and I would honestly be surprised if they face Mississippi State with more than 2 losses. Will they sweep the SEC for a second straight season? If the SEC stays healthy, it feels unlikely.
2. Florida- With the bulk of the team back from last year and the setting situation mostly figured out, the Gators enter 2019 with a few less question marks than last year. Facing Stanford at home and traveling to Minnesota will go a long way to seeing how good the Gators are early in the season. Can they beat Kentucky at home which they haven’t done since 2013?
3. Missouri- Replace Munlyn with SEC All-Freshman team Caffey and the Tigers are still in position to challenge the top teams in the SEC. Deberg and Fuentes are one of the better hitter and setter combos in the conference and if they can pass well, they’ll be tough to beat. Deberg should be in the conversation for POY, especially if she increases her hitting efficiency and digs per set.
4. Tennessee- A home-and-home series with Illinois to start the season will test their starting lineup right out of the gate. Williams’ departure does seem to leave Tennessee with the most question marks of the top 4 or 5 SEC teams. Grubbs is also in the conference POY conversation, though she’ll have some work to do to challenge Edmond and Lilley who I have as the current frontrunners.
5. LSU- 8 straight games on the road to start the season is tough but if they can get to 8-2 before conference play, they should be decent position in terms of RPI. This year shouldn’t be like the last. They finished third in the conference in digs per set last year. If that continues and if their blocking numbers increase, which they should, the defense will give them a better record than 4-6 in 5 set matches.
6. South Carolina 7. Texas A&M 8. Georgia 9. Ole Miss 10. Alabama 11. Arkansas 12. Auburn 13. Mississippi State
Predicted Tournament Teams (5): Kentucky* Florida* Tennessee Missouri LSU or South Carolina

Looks like Curry won’t be the best bro in the SEC this year.

Can't speak to how good she is but Kentucky hasn't exactly done a terrible job with their setters. The last 4 before Lilley at least made AA HM with two of them (Rumley and Bergren) making 2nd team.*
Skinner has made sure there are pieces around them so the pressure isn't on them to be spectacular.
*In all honesty, I remembered Rumley was an all-american but I had to look up Bergren because that completely slipped my mind.
