How many of the 22 are walk on’s? I agree there is bound to be transfers in the future for Florida.

I realize there are only 12 scholarships awarded. Wondered if there might be a couple of 2 year scholars mixed in.

If you’re willing to break rules in order to weaken a conference member than you deserve everything you get! And if I was a player or parent on said team my trust level of a coach willing to do that type of thing would be Zero going forward. There...I said it! Enough beating around the bush! Good luck and as always Go Gators! Next thing we will have in the SEC is illegal contact with recruits disguised as an Open Tryout! Do they enforce any rules? It sounds like you know a lot. Obviously the open try out is directed at Kentucky. Recruits disguised as an open tryout is ALARMING!!! And if just a rumor very sad. If Wise broke violations why would you still cheer on that team? You know they cheated and broke rules....yet go Gators? This is purely my interpretation from what I’m reading. And maybe this is normal practice? Is there a ton of this going on yet no one hammers these coaches? Are people too afraid to “snitch?” If any of this is true.... God has a strange way of humbling people.

Mary can’t and won’t change that. “Go Gators” is used as hello and good bye in the land of plenty 2) I don’t make ethical decisions based on tribalism. Most do...I don’t ! I’m a GOP guy that despises Trump...does that help? 3) your worst fears of KY tryout is exactly what it was. I know several high profile 15 year olds invited to try out! Is that enough to explain my post?

Is that enough to explain my post? I’m understanding better. Yes. I’m a GOP human yet despise trump as well so that was a helpful analogy. However. This kinda sounds like tribalism bc you’ve put Florida under a tent. You love them no matter what? (Things might be shady but who cares it’s Florida?) And lastly. That is so sad about Kentucky!!!! Oh, last LAST LASTLY: WHY DONT MORE PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THIS STUFF?? Shouldn’t these be Fireable offenses?

I can see that take on the tribalism. Noted.
But it’s more like Gatordome is the Nation and I’m not looking the other way regarding her violations. I’m the one talking about it. Gator Nation (the place and university) is sacred but that doesn’t give you a passs on breaking rules just because you coach my tribe’s team!
But I see your point!

C’mon ProfessorPlum. Your posts are usually on point, but these are off base and not factual whatsoever. UK’s “Open Tryout” in October was mandatory from administration last year to allow current students to tryout if desired. No one showed to the tryout. In regards to the “15 year olds invited to try out”, that is simply laughable. UK along with many other SEC schools are running camps this spring (all cleared by their compliance offices) and all of the schools make sure that their recruits of interest are aware of the camps, but they are open to the general public too. UK just held a prospect camp last week and has one the first weekend of February, so maybe that is where your confusion is. You don’t seem like the type of person that would intentionally spread false rumors, but that’s a really big accusation that is not accurate. There are not many out there who are as straightforward and direct as the UK staff. Maybe this false information you received is coming from your Florida peeps? Florida needs Kentucky and Kentucky needs Florida. Without each other the SEC drops well out of a top four volleyball conference race.

I appreciate the back handed compliments. It’s certainly not coming from my “Florida peeps” as I spent 75% of the Posts talking about Mary’s irregular (errr illegal) ways.
As far as framing UK “spring” camps, I’m basing my posts not as accusations but just as facts as heard from the player/club side. Do with them what you want but they are facts. Whether against the rules or not is not mine to judge but certainly there is some question as to it from The club side.
But that being said I may have been overhanded with too many jokes and innuendos. For that I relent to the Chairman, or Ncaa, or sec, or prisoner, or you if you’d like!

My response was not intended to be "backhanded compliments", as I truly do typically enjoy your posts. I also, appreciate your humor, but statements like this are much more than "jokes & innuendos". Your statement was "your worst fears of KY tryout is exactly what it was. I know several high profile 15 year olds invited to try out". Not only does that insinuate a lot, but it simply is not a fact. I just really struggle with accusations and really strong comments when people are not directly dealing with the source. I just put myself in their shoes and if I was on the other end of this after doing everything in power to do things by the book (be it UK or any other program) it would be really frustrating to have comments made accusing me of something that wasn't true. If it was me I would take the post down, but obviously if you have a different point of view then we can agree to disagree.
