More than half the conference ranked 43 or better in blue’s RPI Futures this week. That’s 7 teams that could make the NCAA field if things fall the right way! The bubble teams (uga, tenn & ole miss) probably need a couple more upsets of the top 4 for that to happen but it’s not out of the question this year! 7 would be a dream! 🤞🏼🤞🏼At the end of the day, I’m predicting 6 of those teams make it with Tennessee looking in from the outside.

Tom Black is starting to put something together in Athens. I wasn't really a fan of his choice to go with smaller pins (5'10 and 5'11 on the left and 6' on the right) but the offense is fast enough that they aren't asked to be extremely physical. The blocking isn't great but they get enough touches at the net and in the back row to keep them in the rally. And they seem a lot better OOS than last year. They still set fast balls on one option passes but the outsides are adjusting much better than before.

Just a thought on why they maybe exceeding expectations for many folks in 2019. I for one thought they were going to struggle after losing their primary offensive threat and top OOS option from 2018 and am pleasantly surprised they are on target to have a better 2019 season.

A&M is hitting .271 in conference play; Georgia is hitting .228. But Georgia has won 3 five set matches; A&M has lost 3 five set matches.
Over a long season I think the outcome of games will favor the team that hits a higher percentage.
Of course, UGA could potentially improve their hitting % and get even better. The schedule, however, doesn't get much easier. They only play Auburn, Miss St, and Arky once this season.

Who you got tonight? Kentucky at Tennessee South Carolina at Florida
Some NCAA hopes on the line for Tennessee and South Carolina. Both teams could really use that signature win in conference.
Still taking Kentucky in 4, but if Grubbs plays then I think it’s going 5 Florida also takes this in 3 - being at home propels then with the sweep

In all 3 of Georgia's 5 set wins, they've had a lower hitting percentage. I'm not sure if we'll see Georgia blow the doors off their SEC opponents on a consistent basis as far as hitting percentage, but the Bulldogs seem to be winning the intangibles in the moments they need to and grab the win. And A&M hasn't helped themselves in the fifth set. Their opponents outhit them in all their losses.

Oy, Tennessee just looks off ever since that loss to Ole Miss to openin SEC play. I really like there energy and tenacity, I hope they find it again before it’s to late.

A&M will sweep or lose in 5. I'm leaning toward sweep.
Arky v MissSt might be the most interesting matchup of the weekend. Both teams are going to play hard. I'll take the Bulldogs in 5.
I'll go with the favorites in the rest to sweep or win 3-1.

TAMU LSU Mizzou Ole Miss Georgia Mississippi State Florida Ole Miss Kentucky Mizzou
I love my Auburn Tigers, but I don't see a win this weekend, and I'm struggling to see where it will happen later in the season.

We certainly don't differ in who will win these matches.
